Wimbledon: I'm Loving ....

... watching this gorgeous Czech girl Nicole Vaidisova  play the scary Mauresmo. Good tennis as well. :sorted:

Wimbledon: I'm Loving ....

Just in case people are working and can't get TV.

Wimbledon: I'm Loving ....

They've just come back onto court after another rain break

Wimbledon: I'm Loving ....

Well she won and very well she played too. I shall watch her next match with great interest.

Wimbledon: I'm Loving ....

........womens tennis is alot better than i thought...............

Wimbledon: I'm Loving ....

Her, and a friend, walked past me at Wimbledon Cricket Club last year to practise on adjoining courts.
The other one was fitter!

Wimbledon: I'm Loving ....

I've just got Tennis Elbow........

just from watching ;)

Wimbledon: I'm Loving ....

Saw the last bit of an epic game between Sharapova (or whoever you spell her) and Williams - While you lot lust I can admire the great excitement of the game; best tennis I've seen since Agassi was playing some amazing tennis at the French Open in about 1998 or 1999.

Been enjoying janovic or whatever in the doubles, she has a smile glued onto her face permantly! Quick question who would win in a singles match between her (third in the world I THINK) and Jamie Murray? :computer: Anyone any idea on how low down the rankings men are before they start getting beaten by the best birds? Anyone care? No.

Wimbledon: I'm Loving ....

I did not want Venus Williams :yuck: to win the championship so I did not watch it.

I wonder who will win the men's final tomorrow

I don't want anyone to equal Borg's 5 wins at Wimbledon

Wimbledon: I'm Loving ....

only fit women should be allowed to win tennis... and venus does not fit into the fit women bracket..

Fantastic final and true Champion quality from Federer to win that, it seemed as if Nadal was on top but Federer put it all together in the last four games and deserved it.

Murray and Jankovic on top in the mixed final at the moment.

The one thing about all the rain was that it set up the best final 4-5 days of Wimbledon that I can remember. The men's draw in particular was littered with tremendous matches from Wednesday onwards. It's a pity we didn;t see the best of Djokovic in his match with Nadal or Gasquet in his with Federer but there were some brilliant matches.

Wimbledon: I'm Loving ....

me neither, I want Federer to beat it... ;) and Sampras' 7 titles too:cool:

Looking at Nadal this year I think he'll have his work cut out. An extra year's experience and strength and Nadal might have too much.

Even if he only gets five it's a superb achievement.

Hey Nocoat Jamie Murray and his partner has just won the mixed doubles finals

Wimbledon: I'm Loving ....

I am aware of that young lady! I was cheering him on too! I like the lady he plays with as she is always smiling and she is a good player, and I have nothing against that particular Murray so all is acceptable. It is his donut of a brother who I cannot stand! :nono:

I like her too. Looks like the type of lady who could fire ping pong balls out of her snatch.

It was a great match. We enjoyed it as well. So pleased that they won. :sorted:
She did well in the singles if I remember correctly. Like her mother she has a lovely smile.

Wimbledon: I'm Loving ....

Those Murrays sure know how to grow hair.

Wimbledon: I'm Loving ....

I reckon the older Murray got all of the good humour allocated to his brother whe he was born.

She was the 3rd seed. Got to the fourth round but lost to Bartoli.

Have to agree. Nadal outplayed Federer on the court in the first four sets and Federer stayed in touch by virtue of his tremendous serving (24 to 1 aces. Twenty-four, that's one complete set of aces! Wow!). In the fifth set it seemed that the strain of the past week caught up to Nadal and he made some uncharacteristic unforced errors as he ran out of gas. Federer meanwhile had enjoyed a very light schedule.

It was a great final and Federer desrved the title because he made it count when it mattered. Very classy post game comments from the Swiss champ too.

If Nadal continues to improve the way he has so far, Federer may find it tougher to break many more records.

Why not weymouth? She has played some tremendous tennis this Wimbledon and well deserved her trophy!

She only played good tennis because she had an easy run to the final and played aginst a nobody in the final as well.
I would liked to have seen her play against one of the top 5 in the world. Would she had won then.

I think you're being a little unfair. She beat Ivanovic (5) , Kuznetsova (6) and Sharapova (2) and I reckon was looking almost unbeatable by the final.

A little unfair

I think weymouth bee is talking absolute nonsense, no offence like.

Williams took out three of the top eight players in the world and absolutely battered the woman who had beaten the best player in the world.

She would have beaten anyone on Saturday and is a worthy champion.

I normally have great respect for weymouth's opinion but I'm afraid that his desire for Williams to fail has clouded his judgement on this occasion.

In this tournament Venus Williams played some of the best women's tennis ever seen at Wimbledon and as West Ealing notes she would have beaten anyone this week. It does help your assessment if you actually watch the match though weymouth.

Wimbledon: I'm Loving ....

All right I hold my hands up I do not like Venus and her cheating sister okay

I also enjoyed all your comments. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't.

I liked it when you said you respected my comments as well CB. I will have to let all my family and friends know that. They will be surprised by that.

As I have known Nicole since she was 10 years old, when the company of which I am managing director started to sponsor her, I showed her the GPG appreciation society, when we met the other day. She was very amused and flattered, but claimed that there are many super good looking girls playing on the tennis tour and she was probably to tall to be considered among the best.

My company sponsored her until she was 15 and thats when she started winning serious money and could now probably sponsor us instead. Nevertheless, she has always been grateful for the support we provided in the early years which enabled her to compete in junior tournaments around the world and develope as a player. (She's developed very nicely as a women too). She is such a nice girl that whenever we have a function in Czech she will always attend if she is in the country.

I didn't realise until recently that she is quite a football fan and not suprisingly her favourite team is Sparta Prague. In fact she often wears one of their shirts when practicing. However, her favourite player is Petr Czech, but she dosn't like Chelsea. In fact her favourite English team is Arsenal as to use her words they do it beautifully. I assume she means play. Now she knows I am a Bees fan and is a proud owner of 2 new away shirts, which she will wear when she practices, she has pledged that if we are both in London, when the Bees are at home we will go to Griffin Park and watch a game. She ask me if Brentford do it beautifully and I explained that if they did they would be where Arsenal are. Nevertheless, she says she likes the underdogs and now the Bees will be her favourite little team.

So I guess we have a new part time fan.

Wimbledon: I'm Loving ....

any chance of getting a pic of her in the bees top?

just the bees top?! :brow:

She will provide a picture and when it comes I will post it on here. You would have loved it when she tried the shirt on. She just pulled off her shirt and stood there in her bra before pulling the Brentford shirt over her head. Pity it only lasted a half a minute or so.

However, she did leave the office wearing the Bees top.
