Junior Bees Scheme

Hello, it's me - sorry to trouble you all.

Unfortunately, there's an empty section on the OS about Junior Bees. What will little Tarquin get if he becomes a member? And is it right that if I buy a season ticket, he gets automatic membership?

I guess I could ring the club in the morning. I did think though that I could just pop something on here and see if someone helpful can offer anything. No luck so far though. :)

JUNIOR BEES

For the forthcoming 2008/09 Season, Junior Bees will be afforded the same priority facility afforded Lifeline, Bees United and BIAS Members when purchasing tickets for All Ticket games. They can also receive 10% discount in the Bees Superstore on all items (excepting replica shirts, books, videos and sales items), discount on all Brentford Supporters Trust Coaching Courses, a Christmas card signed by the team and the opportunity to attend a unique training event with the team.

It is intended that all Junior Bees will receive a Membership card in the fullness of time but at the moment with the introduction of our new Ticketing system; Season Tickets and the submission of set up data are the priority. However should Junior Bees wish to take up their Bees Superstore discount opportunity in advance of receiving a Membership card, they only require to state that they are a Junior Bee and the database can be checked to verify.

I thought he was actually communications director at BU, which is of course not a PR man. They are different. :wave:

Regardless of title, they are still representatives of BU and should act accordingly.

The quality and manner of some of the responses that are dished out by the BU reps on here do nothing for my faith in BU and merely justify my reasons for not rejoining.

Whilst there are many posts fromJBN that i disagree with I think his last comments are very apt indeed, it has been a pet hate of mine the arrogance shown by some people on here who are activley involved with the club, interestingly something that is often discussed at games.

i woul go so far as to say that their attitude on this board in fact does more ham than good

I fully appreciate that I may be one of those that are the subject of your pet hate. Obviously I don't intend to be. But I would be surprised if I hadn't been at opposing views with the vast vast majority of posters with at least one of my posts over the past 10 years. Also, it ain't easy being a Mother Theresa on the GPG if you post anywhere near frequently - it is a debating shop after all. However, I would much rather give you my opinions straight then elect to not post at all which others have done.

I agree with Banana on this one and I do wish that posters with a gripe would come up with names and examples rather than the generalised 'some people on here who are actively involved with the club' which I take it embraces David Heath (BeeH), myself, Peter Gilham, David Merritt (shaggy), Natasha Judge...........well the list goes on. My stance is unless posters are prepared to provide examples of the offending posts when we can all join in and comment we are in 'God's Chosen' territory where when the rubber hits the road the limp response is always......'Oh I didn't mean you'.

Ok names, Banana and Mark both of who have a tendancy to be "clever" with their answers, a case in point would be Marks response to Les, OK Les could have contacted the club but The tone of Marks response whilst it may be "tongue in cheek" were not particularly "user friendly" and I would say that he is the worst culprit by far.

In fact if one was to trawl all the many topics that have been recorded on here the tone of Marks response are often sharp and pithy when perhaps a more helpful response or none at all might be better. It may be the way Mark always is I dont know him, however I am not the only one to feel that a more measured response at times might reflect better on the club.

I am sorry if that offends however it is my personal view for better or worse, it does not effect my enjoyment of this site nor prevent me attending Brentford matches, which i have done for 50 years home and away.

No problems, no offence taken - it's water off a duck's back and that's the way I am fella. To make an omlette you have to break a few eggs. Like abee and banana, I actually prefer people to have the courage of their convictions so no problems from me.

However, it does irk me to see some questions on this board as only direct contant with the club will yield the correct answer.

Well it certainly doesn't offend me and it's better that we know the names. For what it's worth my take on this subject is that if a poster has a genuine question/complaint involving Bees United or BFC then their questions should be directed via the appropriate website. If I have the time then I do my best to follow through on posts on the GPG regarding the adminstration at BFC and not infrequently email the club on the spot regarding comments that I have seen on here. I learn a lot including that we couldn't even seem to get onions in place for the burgers on Friday evening which is an inauspicious start for the seasons catering expectations I agree and that Princess Bee was unable to collect her season tickets on Friday (I've asked her for further details). David Heath is away for the next week but I'll follow through on 'Oniongate'.
This is a discussions forum and one which I enjoy and am happy to participate in but it should not be the first port of call if there is a complaint or comment about BFC or BU.

I always prefer to hear about peoples personal experience rather than the marketing line. Note the forum title. I'm not sure why it irks you so much.

You don't offend me either Mr Pipe. I am clever though :) Can you find an example of a post that irks you. Just that markbfc is getting all the glory and that always irks me (answers of mine to JBN, JTofBFC, Mr Tree are not permitted in your examples :) ).

That takes away some material, I'm sure there must be a response or two to Royal Oak Bee that can be used though:D
