Very pleasing to see a good team effort all round. Both Cort and Weston had impressive debuts, but my vote goes to Weston for his goals.

Weston ran all game and his second goal was a real peach.

Weston edges it for his two goals and all round performance. He looked so delighted to be off the mark. Francis joseph, who also had a sweet left foot, scored two on his debut against Bristol Rovers way back in 1983 on his way to 26 goals in his first season. If he gets the service and the chances come his way we have a terrific prospect.

I've voted for Weston, for his goals and their timing, but I think the biggest contribution to the game came from Cort. Their defence doubled up on him, he won a lot of the ball and made good use of it. This allowed Weston and Saunders tremendous freedom, and even Foster and Woods got in on the act because of the defensive chaos. In the second half, he was also the defensive difference and even knocked the ball forward to Weston and Saunders from the edge of the box.

Difficult one but Cort for me for his defensive work in the second half particularly.

Cort becuase he won everything thrown his way and was great defensively. I also stuck up for him on the other thread so it saved a bit of embarasment as well:D

Myles .. we wouldn't have won the game without him. Good to see someone who knows where the goal is!

Good to have Kev back in the midfield doing what I think he does best, breaking up things for the oppo and (usually) making something constructive for us. Bennet looked dominant in 1st half and Phillips in the 2nd. Notable performances too from the front 2. Keeper's kicking was decidedly dodgy but he came for one or two crosses/corners especially in the 2nd half that helped relieve some pressure. A good day at the office, even if it took hours to commute there.

Sorry to be different, I know that Myles scored 2 goals, Carl Cort looked very classy and Ryan was good in the second half to master Taylor after he had looked dominant in the first half.

no bad performances but for me Mark Phillips was outstanding.

After all the questions about Cort's signing it is very pleasing to see people giving him man of the match votes. Maybe a good signing after all??:sorted:

Weston, by Myles. Liked Corts performance. Foster made two crucial blocks though looked vulnerable to pace  He didn't in the two friendlies I saw.

btw did anyone notice the officials outfits were a brighter shade of lime!!? Almost luminous
