Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Only vote if you went and think any of the shower might deserve it.
Only Charlie put the effort in, and only he looked cross when he made mistakes.

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

'Shower' is a bit harsh wee dave, we have only lost once in over two months, the players were due an off day.

I voted for MacDonald.

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Kev and Charlie deserve a lot more credit than the rest, but Kev shaded it for me.

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Charlie for me today. :sorted:

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Kev, we would be facked without him

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Charlie by a mile. Kev was poor first half and I can't give man of the match to someone who passed from the left touchline level with the area back to the centre circle instead of crossing it into the box like he did first half.

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Charlie, Myles and Kevin were the most effective of a poor bunch today and Lionel shewed he has real pace and ability. We ground out a lucky point without any outstanding eprfirmances

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Mac for me.

Thought O'Connor should have stepped forward a few yards in the first half, gave them a bit too much space. He was pretty good, Mac was better.

Mac did the work of two up top today, created the space for the goal and tried to get us going.

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Toumani. Can't believe no-one's mentioned so far. Played really well and showed some classy touches on the ball.

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

O'Connor - best of a poor bunch today

Nice stepover for sure but I have gone for Charlie. 100% effort and set up the goal.

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Has to be between Kev and Charlie Mac.
Kev justs shades it for me.

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Charlie by a mile was only 3 goals away from predicted hat-trick
was absolutely fantastic again , if he was 21 (sorry Charlie) he would be worth well over a million

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Legge gets my vote as he had a decent game imho, didnt do much wrong, put his body on the line and played it simple which is what you need from a defender really. Charlie Mac also worked really hard but without having a lot of ball we don't get the best out of him. Most of the rest might as well not have turned up today.

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

................King Kev......................mentions also to Charles for his efforts................

You're kidding?!?! We all thought he was pretty awful; in fact, if I were Hunty, I'd have to question why I wasn't brought on at HT as Dave was offering nothing.

He improved in the second half, but IMHO he would be rated lower than almost everyone else today.

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

charlie as always but i will vote for Rodders.

:zzzzz:

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

There was no one worthy of man of the match. Can we change the name of the thread to least worst of the match or donkey of the match (there would be lots of contenders for this)

:imwith:

KOC was on his own in CM during the first half which severely limited the ball-winning and service to Charlie, Akinde, Weston and Saunders.

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Between Charlie & Kev. Both worked hard and shone because their partners were anonymous. Did we have right midfield today by the way? :grey:

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

KOC easily with charlie a contender. Cannot believe 4 people have voted for Toumani. He is in the top ten most ineffective midfielders of all time IMHO...............

I knew someone was going to whinge about this but I thought better of you Les.

To be fair I thought he did brillantly he picked up the ball when neither Weston or Dickson wanted to put it in, had a man on him so beat him with a chimey, had a look to see if anyone was open, no one was and there were 3 players between any brentford ones so he made sure we kept possesions and could start again.

There were two forwards in the box and Saunders on the far edge. The ball should have gone in. Incidentally, the ball never did get in from the switched play.

as i said, i voted for Rodney. his burst down the left to set up ryans chance should have won us the match.

I also thought he was poor today. Hunts long throws at the end could of been handy but oh well

King Kev for me. :)

Saunders had two players between him and the ball. Mcdonald was being marked by a 6ft 7 inch centre back and we won nothing in the air all day until Cort came on.

The main problem we had yesterday was that the balll spent a lot of time in the air because we couldn't get it down and pass, and they won everything.

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Charles again.

Nope - not for me. From a good wide position you should be hitting the near post and giving your forwards a chance to earn their money.

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Charlie for me on workrate alone, with mentions for Kev and Miles in patches

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Close call between KOC and Charlie Mac ....but Kev shades it for me

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Charlie for me because of how he worked with little or no service. Kev did OK and Myles Weston showed some nice touches. I'm frankly amazed by votes for anyone other than those 3. I almost forgot Diagouraga was playing, which is hard for a guy of his size

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

You missed last week then?

:imwith:

Some people do talk some crap on the evidence of a couple of hours of performance. Dave was as ineffective against Wycombe as he was effective against Gillingham. That's why these blokes ply their trade in the third division.

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Charlie just from Kev. Outstanding front play. First touch is superb.

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Toumani. Can't believe no-one's mentioned so far. Played really well and showed some classy touches on the ball.

 Christ on a bike! Dave was totally by passed for the whole game and "bossed" by their midfield - The stepover was about all he offered.
King Kev :sorted:

But Charlie comes a close second. They both worked their socks off.

:imwith:

Weston. Scored a goal. Doubled up all game and still looked our only threat.

Man of the Match v Wycombe - 13 Feb

Charlie for me. Legge was a close second for me, with an honourable mention for Weston.

Don't think Dave was as bad as some people are making out, he was poor at times, and decent at others, same as Kev for me.
