Les - I know you don't like duplicate threads (and tend to close them) but the last poll was a month ago. A lot has happened since then (or rather it hasn't) and I think a lot of people might have changed their opinion and like the chance to make a fresh vote :sorted:.

Looking at the poll, so far I'm the lone voice which says give him a little more time, 3 more games will be enough I think. The board have to show they are giving Scott every chance to turn things around and then a little bit more, not firing him because of a bad run of results. I do agree we were terrible today, as we were against Rochdale and Walsall, as most teams have rumbled our style of play, but maybe we won't attract a better quality of manager if we sack Scott now. The board should however be using the next few weeks thinking about the next stage of progression and the type of manager they want, whilst Scott fights to save his career at Brentford. I hope Scott succeeds and leads us out of this mess, but doubt he will.

Today was a real low, I really thought AS was the man to take us forward but he has run out of ideas..... time to go I'm afraid.

I have supported every Bees manager and player since I first stood on the ER in the 49/50 season....after a while you get feeling of how things will turn out given current results...all I can say is that we are going backwards at the moment ...after such high hopes at the start of the season...seems to me that AS is a bit out of his depth and a new man should bee brought in...not sure who would want the job...however I think that the guy at D&R John Still is it..has the knowledge and management skills to turn our season around...

Got to say, I was an Andy Scott backer all the way until today. But, publicly announcing a relegation battle with 35 games to go did it for me. Probably a slip of the tongue but sorry matey, time up :shrug:.

crazy comment. This, added to the last few weeks, how can he stay.

One thing not mentioned much is the Orient JPT game, not many where there and we won, but for Scott to call it dire baffles me as it is his ****ing team and selection.

As i said in my previous comment.Its Time for Andy Scott to do the decent thing and Resign!!.He is a good division 2 manager.BUT!!no good as a Division One manager,or higher!!. He lacks the vision and tacticial know on how on how to form a squad.and pick a team. For example we ALL knew that Mr Cort would be picking up injuries. We can only afford to have YOUNG new players who have the speed and the energy to Go by defences and score!.I have been watching Brentford for over 50 years,and today at Griffin park i felt embarrassed,at watching the Bees. End of comment

9th in div 1 last season was good and means he can do, just give him 16 players to work with and no budget and he will get the best out of those players. Give him too much money and he will upset too many players

We were 9th in Division One last season due to Arsene Wenger's management skills - not Scotty's :sorted:.

I been sitting on the fence and there is still a part of me that thinks AS record over the two and half years is good enough for us to continue to say one more chance, but how long can the fans and the board continue to keep saying this (given our league postion)?.

Somebody (assume the CEO) now needs to take responsibility and say, this seasons league record falls short of what this club is now trying to achieve; given our budget and money that has been spent and the support that has been given to AS. Whilst we do apprecaite everything he (Andy Scott) has done for us, we sincerley wish him well for the future....

Might be having a rethink here after reading some of AS's comments from this season.
Players that he brought in that are not performing- not his fault

Team that he selects that are not doing as told- not his fault

Tactics that he selects not working - not his fault

So everything must be somebody else's fault then ?

I admire BrandsHillBee for sticking with Scotty. He has lasted four and a half hours longer than me. Must be all that clean living :sorted:.

I am not defending him for the mess he has got us into this season, I think he has been found out and should go. But there are some managers who could get a team motivated (probably like MA) with a small squad where they cannot play Football Manager 2011:wave:

That seems a bit rude. I actually though 9th last season was blinding. All down to a Polish backstop though IMO. Not Andy Scott as such :shrug:.

Last year we didn't have a playing budget to touch most of the others in the division, we brought in Legge and he became a star. Now we have a budget and he is peeing it up the wall so I do believe it is time to go. But YES last season was a good season which should have been built on this season:wave:

What I am saying is we would probably been in a better position this season if he wasn't like the first little brat in willy wonkers tour where he can do what he likes.
Give him a limited budget and he will be OK but he is upsetting too many people IMHO because money doesn;t seem an issue

If you honestly think that a 9th placed finish last year wasn't credible then I think and hope you'd be in a very small minority. :shrug:
