Hmmm, I think Mr Scott needs to brush up on his PR .Supporters have a right to an opinion ,especially with the style thats been served up recently .To say he's " sick of it " isnt the right thing to say imho.

:sorted: Yep and we are sick some of the utter rubbish seen this season( mostly). Again not his fault!! or for the dwindling crowds at BFC. Yes, I want to see the Bees win, I expect to lose a few ( god knows I have seen enough in 32 years ) but I don't drive a 60 mile round trip to watch crap football. Cheers Scotty about time you took some responsibilty.

FYI it is the players' fault that he hates all Brentford "fans", OKAY!?!

He's sick of it:D, imagine if he had to pay to watch it.

Well done Bees another welcome 3 points, after listening to AS post match rant just confirms to why I want him to leave, yes we have just beaten a team who were in the championship last year(who have now lost 4 on the spin)and we lost against a team last saturday who since have lost at home today 4 1 and a poor 2nd div side in the week who also lost at home today.Might have saved your breath and shown a bit of class.

Without wishing to be too much of a geek. This is the match reports thread. Lets have all anti Tin Man rants in the Scott Out thread or whatever. Thankyou please :computer: I want this space clear for my mate Druggie Nicks match report when he gets back.

Andy Scott's Comments after Plymouth and Colchester

What is Scott up to, his comments are outrageous.

So its them and us now then according to him. Will be a very quiet place playing in front of only the squad members/

couldn't agree more

AS needs to wake up to the fact that he works for us
and that we are forever entitled to an opinion.
it's all part of the game

brentford supporters will continue to criticise when dross is served up
(a la bournemouth, mk dons and aldershot)
and praise on such days as today

Andy Scott's Comments after Plymouth and Colchester

Touchy isn't he? Talks about Everton twice, then somehow forgets two legs against Aldershot. BTW Andy Plymouth aren't a "Championship" team they are League One who lost their last three games, scoring just once.

 he has built a team that the fans pay their wages ffs the fans are sick of him for blaming the players when his tactics have been shocking.. he hasn't treated some players correctly i.e Lee and Saunders, he needs to realise that todays game wasn't the title decider ffs.. what a cock:rolleyes:

A very amusing two fingers.

Andy Scott's Comments after Plymouth and Colchester

Well said Scott in the post-match comments. I was furious with the 2nd half performance against MK Dons and the way we played at Aldershot, but it's madness to have such doom and gloom after our October form. This time 3 years ago we'd just lost 7-0 at Peterborough, and by some people's negativity you'd think that was happening every week.

Andy Scott's Comments after Plymouth and Colchester

I am 50/50 on the Scott interview.

He is "sick of it" is he? Tough, goes with the territory of being a footy manager pal. Comes across as a bit of a moaning old g!t to be honest.

Then again I like the fight it shows he has in him.

Hmm

He will not win over some fans on here so why should he waste his energy trying? If he get the results, those who question him will have to sort their own heads out - if he doesn't, he'll get the sack. It doesn't matter a jot what he says, what he does to some so he might as well just say it how he sees it.

Right. All done I think. I wont be doing that again! Somehow I managed to bump up a thread from 8 years back I think!

Carry on with the witch hunt gang!

Yeah, I thought a 'Top Two" finish was a tad optimistic, even for the most pro Scott posters!

His comments show he's still got some much needed venom inside of him but for him to close ranks and be divisive suggests that he hasn't collected his thoughts/sought the advice of Max Clifford on the matter!

Andy Scott's Comments after Plymouth and Colchester

A very amusing two fingers.

Incredibly clueless and divisive stuff there.

"We're closing ranks. It's about us, what goes on in the changing room, our squad, our management staff"

"When I first come to the club, I wanted there to be a One Club Brentford, but we seem to be moving away from now that now"

Can't remember too much that Scott has done to engender a "One Brentford", can you?

What is he thinking????

Oh well, might as well let him get on with it I suppose

Andy Scott's Comments after Plymouth and Colchester

Any lingering doubts I had about the ineffectiveness of Mr.Scott have now completely disappeared. His interview on the radio after today's match was totally unprofessional and unacceptable. His PR skills are zero. In any other profession, if he slagged off his "customers" like that he would be instantly dismissed for gross misconduct.

If he can't take criticism, he shouldn't be in the job he is doing. Regular supporters aren't daft, They've witnessed some of the cr*p that's been dished up in the League and FA Cup this season. We know we have players that are capable of much better. Team selection and match strategy are down to one man - the Manager.

He should go now.

but saying he is sick of it is then lowering himself, towards what though? abuse!! he must understand that the fans like him were pissed of with the teams performance:wave:

I think a number of people on hear have gone over the top, he is showing he cares about his job and his team, so good on him. perhaps ask yourself is it you.

I'm not sure it's all about that tbh I've not seen anything over the top myself about "AS must go now" it's how the fans feel about the club they want more, we've been in the lower leagues far to long. what's wrong in wanting much more than being a middle of the road league 1 team for the past 30 odd years:wave:

A poor interview, does Scott no favours, sounds very childish. He is sick of negativity but then does this depressing, negative interview.

The hypocrisy of football fans. Everyone can dish out dog's abuse and then get all exasperated when a bit comes back.

Ludicrously bad PR certainly - but I'm sorry, I'm finding all of this a bit tragi-comic now. I can guarantee that those who have given far, far worse than this interview won't take a moment's reflection to look at their comments.

I'm just going to pop along to the football and watch the games from now on I think.

I'm sure he does and I could be cynical by saying that I would also care if I was on £x-grand a year but to me it sounded like a man who was on the edge of of a very big drop who's keeping his balance on 2 toes.

No pleasure taken from saying that and we did win a big game today but if he does come back from this, he's got some character/football brain/lady luck with him, etc

I want to take a balanced view here.

I've no doubt AS puts a huge amount of himself into the job and feels strongly that he's moved the club forward over the last nearly 3 years. He has a point and this can make criticism hard to take.

But in any kind of leadership position (sport, business or otherwise) you have to bite you lip and take it when it comes and accept it's comes with the territory. You don't publicly react to it, you stay focused on what you believe to be right and let your results do your talking. It's tough but it's what leaders do.

For me, AS has failed a leadership test today with his comments. That I can forgive him for but please Andy don't ever, ever, ever, talk about 'closing ranks' against fans of my football club. You and your 'staff' wore the badge of my football club today. There are another 91 you can go to if you are sick of us.

Yes you're right, but it's largely irrelevant. Because, as has been said above, Scott failed a leadership test today.

I don`t care what he says as long as he keeps us moving up the league.... I really don`t see why a lot of people are getting their knickers in a twist about it anyway, seems like some people can dish it out but definately can`t take it:rolleyes:

Andy Scott's Comments after Plymouth and Colchester

He is fully entitled to his opinions as much, if not more than any GPG-er.
However, as has been said I don't get the impression he was ever a prime mover in any "one brentford" initiatives.

Andy Scott's Comments after Plymouth and Colchester

The board should remind AS that without the fans there wouldn't be a club.

no ones getting their knickers in a twist ( not me anyway I don't wear them;)), he's opened his mouth so aren't the fans allowed to comment on it:wave:

It sounds from that interview that Scott doesn't actually watch many of the games then!!

I see it as him responding to what some fans have said already, so the argument I have is that fine he has the right to respond
