    York City’s new stadium.

Sad to think that my favourite place for the past 60+ years, is now probably looking in the same desolate state - RIP Griffin Park.

    General General Transfer Discussion

I might be wrong here, but I believe that we are one of the few clubs in the Championship that could afford to splash the cash if the right one(s) come along. My feeling is that we could pick-up some really good players at basement prices from clubs in dire straits - doesn't sound very nice but...

Vitaly Janelt - Signs to June 2024

When we play Spurs in our (still can't believe) semi-final we will need added defensive strength and speed from midfield in order to get to Wembley. In my very humble opinion we have to play Vitaly along with Josh and Christian in order to counter the speed and skill that will be thrown at us!

Cardiff in the FA Cup fifty years ago

One of my most memorable Brentford Memories. Drove there in my recently acquired Triumph Spitfire, had a couple of pints of Brains Beer in a pub with the longest bar that I have ever been in, in my life, and then shouted myself hoarse as my 4th Division Hero's thrashed the sh*t out of the 2nd...

    Birmingham 1-0 Brentford: Match Reports

What I saw was a good game of football that, with a bit of luck going our way, we should have won 2-0.

Overseas Bees: Where will you be watching the Play-Off Final?

Like most other 'Exile Bees' I would have flown home to join in the madness of what should have been the most memorable, watched game in our club's history. Instead though I will have to be content with crawling out of bed at 2.30am in readiness to watch the game at home in Bunbury, Western...

    Today 18/7/2020

First started watching Brentford as a 13 year-old and I'm now 75. I felt a bit crook today (too long in Australia - means not well) and I thought f--k I've got to hang on a bit longer - I can't miss this!!!

LockDown MeetUp Episode V: Andy Scott (Now with Catch-Up Video)

Thanks Trevor - Andy certainly proved to be the very special person that I'd always imagined him to be.

    Hardest player in each position

I remember a game, back in the sixties at Elm Park, where we were winning 1-0 until very late in the game, when Pat Terry, then playing for Reading, dropped Chic Brody in a scuffle at a corner kick before scoring with his head. As the teams were returning to the centre circle Chic chased after...

    Coronavirus: All Football Suspended

Coronavirus:All Football Suspended We may soon reach a point in time when the powers that be decide that it is all to complex, and that scraping the season, as the Dutch and UK Conference appear to have done is the easiest and most painless solution. Whilst hoping, like all real football...

Marcus Forss - Signs to June 2023

I believe that we are awaiting outcomes of the window, until the end of Jan, before making the decision - If Ollie goes Forss stays / if Ollie stays Forss stays with the Wombles.
