In our first season back in the Championship, we lost 0-3 at home to Norwich. I left GP strangely happy because we played and competed really well, and I knew we'd be fine at this level. I didn't visit the GPG that night, so don't know how others saw that game, but based on the opinions last...
At least we have learned that Toney and Forss can be effective playing together. Maybe try Bryan on the left too, he might get more shots away there. Defending throughout was very poor. Onto Tuesday, good job the games come so fast to keep your feet on the ground/get back on your feet depending...
Looked to play mostly in front of the back 4 in the first half, so fairly defensive. Recycled the ball well, got back well a couple of times, nothing fancy. I think he appeared in the six yard box for a corner too at one point, which must have been a novel experience for him.
Sorry to quote myself, but I also ordered the Millwall prog from Curtis (for my son, honestly). Oddly, it has a full reprint of the 1926/27 Brentford vs Millwall home game (as in, Griffin Park) programme in it, which might be of interest to some.
Preston programme just arrived - very striking cover photo and interesting interviews with Marcus Forss and a couple of the B team. Preston content is good too.
