Isn't the problem that it's an international window though, rather than one designed to fit around our own domestic calendar? I know that there is some local variation around start dates but broadly speaking most of the arrangements seem to be very similar.

I believe that they are hoping to use their share to pay off a mortgage secured on their ground. £3m would be transformatory for a club of Rochdale's size and should secure their medium term future. Their fans are following the story as closely as we are.

Yes, but I don't think that he was a product of their youth system. In fact I think his connection with them was pretty fleeting.

And if that bloke wants to go, really really wants to go, so much so that there is a real risk if he stays that his game (and therefore his value) will be adversely affected and there will be disharmony amongst the rest of the team, what do you suggest we do then? And what do you suggest we do...

Don't forget the sell on to Luton. Assuming its £7m upfront we are probably 'only' going to clear about £5.5m for Andre.
