Correct. We have two roles that must be filled by players out of position: Left Back and Central Attack. Given that, it seems a bit of a risk to play anyone else out of position and certainly to jiggle around with formations so that even more players are being asked to play unfamiliar roles.

I'm not sure why anyone would want Canós at CF, unless he's a false 9 and plays in midfield. Out of the regular attackers, I'd say Mbeumo has more attributes to play centrally.

There's been a short training video but I'm not sure I can recognise any of them! There's one taller than the rest with longish hair that looks like him but you don't know when the video was shot.

Pressley's been on the bench quite a bit recently, big, strong and energetic, so I'd start him. It needs a player who will know the role as a central attacker and he ought to be able to hold the ball up better than Canós or Mbeumo. The midfield is self-selecting so the next question is left back...

I think that both will be different, as you note. It appears Wednesday don't concede vast numbers but also score even less, so their ambition may be 0-0, but... they do juggle around with formations and personnel as nothing really seems to work for them. It's a game where we need to be in...

The one thing the Wednesday team appear not to be is mobile, so the right question is: which players in our squad are fit and mobile to cause their team problems.

He can be supported by the players around him without any formation change. Yesterday, Ghoddos should have got close more often, but he was caught up deeper with their high press, and both Mbeumo and Canós made themselves as useful as chocolate teapots... it's not difficult to follow the guide...

I'd be inclined to start with both of them, we need to take control of the game from the start. This is not the time for messing around with formations, with the younger players particularly, they won't have experience of their role in alternatives. Wednesday play a sort of 3-5-2, like our...
