You would think they would give a short time of grace period ;)

Waste of time trying, it still doesn't let me get past the "Update Details" page.

No doubt I'll have to spend even more time making a trip to the ticket office. Probably necessary anyway, as they might be able to confirm that I can cancel the purchases and get refunds if we end up ground-sharing somewhere.

Try clicking submit button at bottom of "Update Details" page - even if you have made no changes to your details - worked for me - eventually.

What date do these renewal prices expire? I can't find that anywhere.
Just before or just after (Club are not sure !!) our final match i.e. either Boro away or the Final.

Go onto the page after login, click on the "tickets" section next to "home" next to the Brentford badge in the top left hand side and not renew season ticket or whatever it says. Drop down to season ticket renewals and I reckon you'll find your stuff there.

Many thanks - I've done that and I'm now in. However, it's showing two items in my basket - mine and a junior, which both have the correct details. But I have a third existing season ticket, a Golden Junior, in the next seat. It doesn't show that one and won't let me add it in "Friends and Family", stating that the person is already in another Friends and Family Group!!! I wonder if it's because he isn't a Golden Junior any more?

Anyway, thanks for your help - stage one overcome, at least!

Got to say a 25% increase on a season ticket for my son is an absolute disgrace.
The deliberate removal of the student option is a cynical decision and one which will make my two lads have to think seriously about coming again.
One is in his final year at Worcester Uni and one in his first year at College, so we opted to buy one Student season this season with the other (Worcester-based lad) buying tickets home and away as and when.
Last season's ticket was around £160 and this season it's £220... which on top of the £9,000 student loan means there is absolutely no incentive for you to come to Brentford if you're a student.
What will almost certainly happen is that the parents will have to pay if they want the 'brainwashing process' to continue... and that's akin to emotional blackmail.
I'd be interested to hear from someone at the club how they can justify scrapping an entire price bracket and sanctioning an inflation-busting price hie like this.

The official reason is to make their lives easier. Hope that helps mate. I agree disgraceful behaviour from those that couldn't give a sh*t.

I'm calling the ticket office tomorrow to ask about student prices - they can't just get rid of that price bracket and not tell anybody. Very unfair on uni/college students

I'm sorry you feel you're being taken for a ride Jim. I remember going through similar discussions on here when I was a student.

In the early 2000s there was a young person's season ticket but no additional student discount. A few of us complained (I remember discussing it on here and someone ringing Gary Hargreaves about it) and the next year the club did a student season ticket that was half the price of the young person's one (v generous).

In the mid to late 2000s (maybe the whole time) you could buy a student season ticket but only if you were in full time education. You could also buy a cheaper match ticket with an NUS card so, as a mature student that wasn't in full-time study, I gave up my season ticket so I could attend most matches and pay match-by-match instead. From the posts on this thread it sounds like recently all students have been allowed a season ticket discount, including mature students.

I suppose my point would be young persons/student ticket policy is a minefield for clubs maybe even more so than juniors and seniors.
Some 18-21 year olds are students, some are working for a living. Some of each category will have money spare and others will not. Mature students the same applies.

It would be worth making a point to the club but maybe the club latest policy is that giving a 50%+ discount over the adult price (ish - haven't compared last year's figures exactly) to someone who is, legally, an adult was one of the more generous policies and people will want to return even at the young person's price given how well we've been doing (By naked economics it's easier to rationalise offering super cheap tickets when crowds are low and there is no adult wanting to sit in that seat). I think it is a little harsh but I would struggle to argue there's "absolutely no incentive".

A word of warning.
I renewed my and my sons season tickets online earlier after updating my details and whatever. When I checked my email confirmation of purchase I realised I had been allocated seats in row B instead of row O. How does that happen when I'm renewing? Not happy!
i've emailed the club but no doubt they are snowed under with queries. It'll get sorted out I'm sure but annoying in the meantime.

The football is the incentive I agree, but my two lads feel like they are being held to ransom, especially when a trip to GP from Worcester and Warwick respectively is expensive enough already.

Many thanks abee... I went to a sh*t school

:D

Latymer Upper was so much better in my day Jim and went downhill after I left. There is an ugly rumour that they even accepted Hugh Grant ffs.

Banana told us last week that BIAS had not been consulted on the new pricing and structure; I've just checked their website and they have not commented yet.

Owlsmoor Bee is a member of the Bees United board and he posted on here a few days ago that the announcement was a surprise and disappointment to him and that the BU board had neither been advised nor consulted. Owlsmoor Bee said that he'd find out what was happening and get back to us.

Going from bad to worse. Previously it had the right seat and number but not a senior price. Now it tells me that my basket is empty. I give up.

Should be obvious
This is driving me nuts!! I follow the links and end up on the 'Basket' page. On this page it tells me that
You have no season ticket renewals to add to your shopping basket. And there are no items in the basket!

Can anyone advise?

Still no luck. Anyone else in the same boat.

As soon as I log in it tries to flog me a play off junior ticket which I don't want as it is a night game (my guess is this is the problem). I cancel that and try to go in through Season Ticket Renewals and Tickets - Season Ticket Renewals and it just says :

You have no season ticket renewals to add to your shopping basket
There are no items in the basket

Anyone solved such problems

I realise there is no urgent rush but I've got a bit of time today

I hope the play off tickets being sent out goes smoothly

I have exactly the same message. I have two seats together in New Road and I have sent an email to the Club with my details and asked if they'd look at the referenced seats and tell me whose name they are in.

I was gonna suggest that these issues would be resolved in a split second if the directors had to renew their boardroom passes online..........:D

I get the same thing I had it all lined up, then went to juggle some money around, but by then my session timed out and I have no renewals. :grey:

It's the same old story. The most glitch-prone website on the planet. (When I go to renew it just takes me to my personal details page.) I've learned that with absolutely every aspect of that site, it pays to wait a day for several hundred people to ring them and shout before it gets sorted out (eg for the play-off game, all the early buyers being given Print at Home, but not sent barcode PDFs, only be told a day later that there was no Print at Home, so despite being defaulted to Print at Home, and sold Print at Home, they will receive tickets in the post).

You can probably easily buy 15,000 on Fulham's website.

Do you fancy it? You get a free happy clapper too......:owusu:

Follow the advice that BRbee gave me - update your details, even if you've not changed anything. It partly worked for me, although I've "lost" one of my junior renewals.

When I renewed my season at the ground this morning and forked out £319 in exchange for a slip of paper showing a visa transaction but nothing else by way of what it was for I was informed that I would be sent a confirmation by email. So far nothing has been received. Anyone else got the same problem?

I've given up, was getting ready to smash my pc which is ridiculous given how happy and stress free this weekend has been since about 1.30'ish Saturday.

I await my tickets for Friday that I'm informed apparently I can't print from home and news of when exactly shortly before or after the last game I can purchase my season ticket.

I do think I've got enough to have a whip round to buy Karl Robinson a round of drinks to welcome if as some suggest he's on his way here.

I work in IT and before any new web based tool, process, whatever you want to call it goes live, we test everything works again and again and again. There is absolutely NO excuse for this shambles. Unfortunately we have form for this type of cock up as well.

People would lose their jobs in my company for this type of fiasco...

Is this website is a new set up for st renewals?

Maybe they've just gone with it and now all the glitches are showing up. It's not very good, sadly, especially after the great season and ticket website we've been using to date.

I've been advised to phone the club at 10. I shall try and fit it between two conference calls and two meetings plus any other work that I may reasonably be expected to do during working hours. The phones won't be busy will they ....... ?

Yep, me too. If the system I look after fell over Private Eye would be the start but least of our problems.

It never has though ......
