Home shirt just arrived, order was placed on 30th of September. Received a bobble hat, mask and season ticket holder wallet too which I guess was for the delay.

Looks as though they were wearing black shorts on one of the pictures but difficult to be certain. It could have been burgundy which would have been appropriate. The socks can't be all white surely,if so how boring, surely they must have the historical colour trim at least at the top. It wouldn't surprise me if it is a boring all white, however, as whoever is involved with choosing the kit is either colour blind or has no imagination.

The pictures and video show the players in black tracksuit bottoms. No shorts were worn.

Especially when they have clearly misjudged demand for it as it is already sold out. If it is a money spinning exercise then it can't have spun that much money and if it is truly a commemorative thing then release it next year when people will wear it at games and it might have sold more.

I am afraid to say I really think this commercial side of the club is poorly run

It depends on your point of view, but if you sell all your stock and don't have surplus kicking around then that is not a failure.

Then the shop needs to be better at assessing demand because they have missed an opportunity.

Still don't get the need for a 3rd kit at all apart from, maybe, Preston, Derby and Bournemouth away where you could wear white shorts & either top anyway....

They've sold out and recently announced on ****ter they'll be restocking in time for Xmas. Whilst yes, they have fallen short with the initial outlay, maybe given the current climate they didn't want to commit too early and wanted to test out the market.

As mentioned above, we needed it in place for the Prem.

Surely as a business we will always see opportunity to make some money? Most teams third kits are in some way "commemorative", look at some of the Prem ones as examples, they come up with some weird and wonderful ideas. Villa is a good example of this.

I work in sales and marketing, we generally ask our customers about their views on planned products to gauge demand, identify target segments of the market and adjust our messages to suit.

I am sure the club could find 100 willing volunteers who'd contribute their views occasionally.

The popularity also might be due to: loads of people here won’t have been spending their “spending money“ since March, pick any from worry/shielding/tight/no football/no petrol needed/no point.

So when something relatively neat like this 3rd shirt comes out, we go for it, anything that makes us feel closer to our club rather than a jittery ifollow picture every few days

What a shame we have chosen a third 'commemorative' all in white, like Leeds. The trim is a great idea and colourful, but why on earth white shorts (could have been burgundy) and plain white socks, which could have also had the historical and colourful trim. The club's management do so well with everything else, but why on earth are they so pathetic when it comes to choosing the kit.

Just got an email from the club shop telling me that my third kit order will not be fulfilled, as it is out of stock. Then told to pre-order on the website for the December run...are they having a laugh? Fuming, as now I am going to be at the bottom of the list for December, despite making a successful order and payment on the 2nd! Oh Brentford.
