Same opening day fixture as Fulham had last year. So if we do any better than a 3-0 defeat we'll be up on their progress straight away.....

I know things will change but need more midweek fixtures under lights. Full house, cold night, steam pouring off sweaty bodies (oooh matron), plus floodlights equals great atmosphere.

I don't think they will change the midweeks but we may get Friday/Monday late games potentially

West Ham away 2nd October is likely to move to Sunday as it follows a European week and they are in the Europa league. It won't move to Monday as it's directly before an international break.
Ditto Leicester at home, 23rd October, which also follows a European week and so could be on Sunday or Monday

Liverpool 25 September and Chelsea 16 October are very unlikely to be moved to Sunday/Monday due to the understanding that teams in the CL do not normally play on a Sunday before CL week.

Do Premier League fixtures originally scheduled for a weekend ever get moved for TV to a midweek day other than a Monday or Friday?

E.g if I book a long weekend in Liverpool arriving Fri AM and leaving Tues AM for the game currently scheduled for 15th Jan is that pretty safe?

Already had a London based Man U friend ask for a ticket to the December game ‘it’s my birthday weekend’ took great joy in telling him to swivel… ‘you’ll be back any Middlesborough next year you *****’ 😂😂

I set this up a few days ago but it hasn't populated my calendar with fixtures yet.

I'd wait a while but don't think they can be moved to midweek from a weekend - will know time in Oct/Nov probably

Reckon the Arsenal game is a nailed on for Friday or Monday night

Might be right but I think Bees Arsenal will be third choice. Sky are likely to select Tottenham v City and Man U v Leeds. I think in a perfect world they'd want our game for one of the other slots but when Sky choose their top 2, then BT will go for our game as their first pick. I think our game is nailed on for 12.30pm on the Saturday with BT.

That is pretty safe.
Every midweek has something for TV to show .... in this case the midweek before is likely to be league cup semi finals (though not seen confirmation of this) and the midweek after will be FA Cup third round replays, assuming those are back this season.

They can't start the PL season on Friday 13th, surely?

Not sure how many TV games they have on the opening weekend, but I'm going with:

Man Utd vs Leeds
Spurs vs City
Our game

Being that Arsenal play both Chelsea and Man City after us, Arteta might save some of their better players for those two games?

They have often kicked off the season on a Friday night in recent years, though I'm not sure it is set in stone

That's a really scary set of fixtures. But I can't wait!

It’s only scary for the plastic fans, not us - Singapore Red Devil’s and the Torquay Reds will be sh*tting themselves.

Believe!!!

Friday I am content with, but setting the season off on a 13th just doesn't sit well with me! Superstition and all that. Unless they go for Man Utd vs Leeds....as they are both horrible clubs to be fair.
