Being that Arsenal play both Chelsea and Man City after us, Arteta might save some of their better players for those two games?

I doubt it, Arsenal also don't have many players at international tournaments so should be strong. Had we played Chelsea or Man City we may have been playing a slightly weakened side.

Our game will almost certainly be on TV. Our first match in the division in 75 years in a London derby against a 'greedy 6' side. If it's nighttime that would be amazing! Hopefully no 12:30 KO...

That has to be a 17.5k sellout 1st match assuming restrictions lifted.

Arsenal home first is a great start. Didnt Arsenal play the play off winners away last season first up? Leeds at home last game is a juicy one also. I have a feeling they may sell out their allocation. Still doesnt seem real.

It's natural to pick out the 'top 6' for the champagne away days and be a bit blasé about some of the ones we've been to recently in the Championship but Villa, Leeds, Newcastle etc are all absolute belters for an away day too.

I hope not 12.30 is a nightmare time for someone working saturday morning.
Welcome to the PL lol. I work shifts so it's going to be a nightmare moving things around last minute but it's a great problem to have.

I guess 5th July is the next big day when TV selections are confirmed. 12.30pm wouldn't be ideal but that would be the slot for the third TV selection; and I can't see too many fixtures more attractive than ours outside of Spurs/City and Man U/Leeds for the TV companies unless Sky give up one of those two for us (unlikely).

I also don't think any one company will get all three of those fixtures I mentioned unless BT selected Norwich/Liverpool as their first pick but I still think ours would beat that one.

Yeah agreed for those who work shifts 7days a week it's a problem but a nice one. I'm a store manager of a co op. Luckily I do the schedules. So I'll hopefully be able to sort myself out.

I have four requests in a four week rota; I used to just request each Saturday and that mostly sorted me for Brentford games, but whilst more planning required I should be ok with most games.

For me that’s the game that makes the dream real. They’ve been in the top flight since 1919 !
I remember Wigan getting Chelsea PL first game and being jealous. We're in the big time now. Nothing will take away today's joy and the prospect of a first Premier League game.

That's pretty decent mate! And it seems TV companies generally select 4-5weeks in adavance so should be okay.

Spurs away and Man city at home will be on Amazon prime...they are already advertising it....but shouldn't that be Brighton away?

They did, beat Fulham 3-0.

Expecting it to be the Friday game, 13th of August.
Saturday morning news ...... "Buzzing Bees top of the League - Arteta looking for a new job"
Unlucky for some

I’m surprised at the moment the small number of midweek games
It was mentioned on here before that only 4 midweeks in PL due to European games and 8 less fixtures this season - personally happy as easier to get to the Northern (above Watford) aways on a weekend...

The Championship has by far the most midweek games of the 4 divisions in normal times, due to 46 games and international breaks to fit in.
And last season was a bonkers schedule - hopefully never to be repeated.

I agree I want to see some tasty games under the lights. Even if TV don't oblige with Monday and Friday nights, Man U at home will have to do for now.

I wonder whether the promoted clubs might have a fitness advantage after acclimatisation to such a tough schedule last season. The full week of training and tactics between matches will seem a huge luxury to the coaches too.

Just looking at the April fixtures gives some more sense of realisation and excitement of what we have done!!
Damn! We’ve already rescheduled a holiday to Antarctica for most of April 2022. Not sure which to miss and might make the decision based on which is likely to disappear first, us from the premiership or Antarctica

Seriously? What ship will you be on? April weather there means you’ll have more chance of Drake’s Shakes than Drake’s Lake when heading south :(

Can't get my head around seeing things like this, and seeing Arsenal fans stressing on social media about playing a promoted side first game of the season. They have less players away on internationals so should be fresh! 😉
My Arsenal colleague at work is the same. :)
