So, my 81 year old Dad who is not very mobile had to walk around from the Kew Bridge side of the ground to the North Stand. He has a walking stick, no toes on one of his feet (diabetes) and unsurprisingly his mobility is absolutely rubbish and he took an absolute age to access the Stand. He was shaking for about 10 minutes after he got to his seat with the exertion.

Had to leave 10 minutes early before the end as he was worried by the number of people leaving the stadium at the same time vs his snail pace.

Does anyone know if there is any special access for people in this position as I don’t think the North End can be accessed from any other route that is a small walk (happy to proven wrong obviously)?

Following BIAS' lobbying the club have a special email address accessibility@brentfordfc.com.

Interested to hear if anyone uses this address and get a reply. I emailed them on Friday 6th August and am still waiting ...

To be fair, it's been a busy time and I haven't followed it up, but it doesn't reflect well.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll follow it up.

We use a wheelchair to get to the North Stand and park it in the bin store as the user is ambulant once inside the ground.

For someone who has been going for over 70 plus years, I suspect he would have crawled over hot stones to be there for kick off!

Thank you. I will see what my options are first of all and might come back to your kind offer of potential help👍

No surname given - are there any other Jons on the payroll?
Anyway, since I had my season ticket sold to me by the Chairman's son, I assumed I only dealt with the top brass.
I doubt JV is replying on a generic email address...

Jon Varney?
Jon Burr is a more likely candidate I would have thought. He was previously the Diversity and Inclusion lead and is listed as the DSO in the PL handbook.

I think he was also the Community Manager at one point but not sure if he still has that role.

no response to my emails either.

For a club that claims to want to be the most inclusive club in the country it really is a uncomfortable environment for disabled fans ordering tickets and joining lengthy phone ques for a problem that is out of their control.

I'm often a bit dubious about generic email addresses, and wonder if they are set up to go to an actual person as opposed to a person having to go to them if you get what I mean. You rarely get this kind of issue when you send an email to a named individual's email address.

Think you are correct as I brought this up to a personal email and as if by magic an email has now appeared....

What were you trying to do Shaun? Your original post talked about accessing North Stand more easily for your dad? Link to website? Can't buy parking spot? Sorry if I'm missing something.

What parking were you trying to book?

Using the clubs pay and park car parking - the website doesn’t work when you try and pay!

I have dealt with Sophie on the accessibility email address and she has been fantastic in swapping seats for me that don't involve going up and down stairs. Also the parking can be sorted if you ring them and they will take payment over the phone.

Ah we have a case of conflicting messages from our parking team. The young lady I spoke to took my email adress and card details.

Sounds like a classic i can't be bothered to write it down so I'll tell him to try later.

First time I called a young man told me the problem was that I had auto filled my card details and to enter them manually.

Interesting. I'll try again later.

It's not our staff though, it's run by Ticketing : EST

Writing down credit card information is a breach of PCI DSS regulations and should never be done.
