Looks like they are going to escape despite their large points deduction.

Real credit to their manager and players. They will be a dangerous opponent for us in Easter.

I fancy Grimsby or Barnet will get relegated.

I wouldn't be so sure. From what I have heard Bournemouth's current financial situation is still pretty precarious but Chester, Grimsby and Barnet must be looking nervously down at the bottom of the table now.

Ok, he's a perma tanned Cherries leg end brought in to appease the Bournemouth fans after what was considered to be the cheap option appointment of Howe
I think the above is the general view but you've got to give Bournemouth credit, they're having a go at it - poor penalty miss by Connell at Chesterfield though that cost them a valuable point !

All credit to Bournemouth. I hope they do survive and someone like Chester drop instead of them. But we will still clinch automatic promotion on the day we play them.

And to be honest, Bournemouth have got this far without being exceptional. 17 points sounded like a lot, but add it to their total and it barely takes them to mid-table. Unlike certain a other club slapped with big deduction, they haven't sought pity. Instead they have kept their heads down and slowly chipped away at the total.

Full credit to them.

Quite.

They realised that the "whole of the football world" was not behind them and got on with it. Don't think they are out of the woods yet though

As I live down here and do some coaching for their Academy, I have a vested interest in how they cope. For what it is worth, I agree with all of above.

Before Howe got the job he was briefly in charge of the Academy and he seem a decent guy. He has done well with very little and I hope they survive. They seem to have that all important momentum.

I've heard that Chester are a fag paper away from administration and that they are waiting to see if they win their next two games to decide when to call the administrators in.

I think you may well be right about how near they are to administration, but I wouldn't have thought the next 2 games would decide it for sure one way or the other... I suppose if they lose 2 and Bournemouth win 2 (which would put Bournemouth above them) they might write the season off and take admin now, but if they are 3-6 points ahead at that time, do they risk it (they may not have the choice)?

Shame as Bournemouth are doing so well that they were unable to pay any of their players or staff today.

Didn't they implement a deadline for going into Admin after the Leeds fiasco? I think the end of March or something, so the points deduction rolls over until next season?

EDIT: Just found this to qualify my statement
