probably not spending any money during a time when we are not going to play any matches. I can see the B Team being mothballed this season.
I cant see that happening. It would be a disaster IMO. Maybe see us playing less games especially less/none abroad. But the B team is a big part of the set up now.

We could arrange regular matches against other clubs who have gone the B team route and are deemed safe. Such as Southampton
That is all the B team have ever done, the challenge being an organised league will follow the regulations and do whatever they are told when we are unregulated to an extent and making our own fixtures so probably seen as a higher risk.

Does the thread title need updating?

It says "winger" but in his interview he says he views himself as a 9 or 10.

They lost the biro
He spoke very well in his interview though, which belied his promo pics. I thought at one point he was going to point out to the interview guy "argh, mate, come on, challenge me a bit with these questions, I'd rather be out doing some extra training".

Very well spoken and intelligent lad, should fit in here really well..

Another one who didn’t have their own thread, but probably should have one now.

Looks like a classy ball player, and someone that could cover a few different positions in midfield and further forward maybe too.

Looked very comfortable and assured. I can see him featuring a lot more for the first team this season.

Some excellent touches and movement. Needs to bulk up though and a L1/L2 loan for experience.

He's got real quality. Felt for him a little as wasn't really getting on the ball enough first half. Grew into it and showed a bit of what he can do second half.

Decent and used the ball well at times. Definitely needs more physicality to cope with Championship football but did well.

I will probably be shot down, however, will this be the first time a 'B' player has been selected for an under 21 squad? We have had under 19's etc but I am not sure about under 21 unless someone like Forss did it as a 'B' Teamer. Whatever excellent news well done to him, and the 'B' Team coaches.
I’ll probably be shot down as well, Chris Mepham ?

There've been plenty, all are at List of Brentford F.C. international players - Wikipedia (obviously includes all Brentford U21 internationals)

There has been many. Including B teamers playing full internationals before a first XI match.

BP. Would Paul Walker be an England schoolboy/U16 international?
England schoolboy.

A number of Brentford players aren’t noted as Schoolboy Internationals yet.

It’s only recently been that the FA took over English Schools.

Another one who's gone AWOL! Injured on international duty perhaps?
He didn't appear to get injured in the game against the Welsh Under 21's. Maybe he picked up an injury in training on his return to the club.
