Mafeking Avenue........gets you there!!!!
Just come on as sub....
It could be the penny dropping. Possibly his last chance to make an impression and get back to Brentford.I watched the second half yesterday, Alex had some good touches and the commentary team also said he had something about him. Can only improve with more game time.
I don't think that's fair? Never seen any doubts about his commitment or work-rate. Has trained regularly with the first team I think..It could be the penny dropping. Possibly his last chance to make an impression and get back to Brentford.
Didn’t really mean to infer that. More that time is starting to run out and he needs to get noticed. We’ve all seen decent Bs get cut at the end of their time.I don't think that's fair? Never seen any doubts about his commitment or work-rate. Has trained regularly with the first team I think..
Yeh, they generally seemed quite positive about him.. Let's hope he can get some starts..From their forum
I have a feeling Gilbert is going to be a right decent bastard. Just a feeling mind.
DOES loan spell there started with a bang, but then it all went wrong.Sounds like he had a really good game. Set up their goal and was unlucky not to score.. Seems to be going well so far..
A chap that I work with who is a Swindon fan was very impressed with him on Saturday. Although they lost he had an assist and generally was at the centre of most good things that Swindon produced apparently.DOES loan spell there started with a bang, but then it all went wrong.
Hopefully this one is more successful.
Loans are so difficult. It sounds like Swindon are trying to play in a similar way to us this season (which I don’t think was the case last year). Sounds like they’re a bit lightweight in midfield though so that could change after a poor run of results which would obviously impact on Gilbert. Their defending for Vales second goal was laughable..DOES loan spell there started with a bang, but then it all went wrong.
Hopefully this one is more successful.
Odd, Whoscored rated him a 6.3, only 18th of the 20 starting outfield playersMOTM on Sat..
Well I'm guessing WhoScored didn't vote for him!Odd, Whoscored rated him a 6.3, only 18th of the 20 starting outfield players
Yeh, can't see him as a striker.. Odd choice? He's much better just behind or wide..Maybe a poor performance because of the different positionMaybe just didn't work

He is with the Ireland Under 21 squad and came on as a late sub in our 2-0 win against Luxembourg.Doesn't feature in the squad.....
Reading Gerrard’s comments Villa seem to be having similar issues with their youngsters and have recalled a few.Shame it didn't quite work out for him there. Seemed to follow a very similar path to recent B team loans. Started well and impressed but then faded and dropped out of the team when results weren't really going their way.
That was the paper’s opinion of him, which means Jack sh*t.![]()

Devoid of any confidence!!!.
Surely the coaching staff are supposed to help him build his confidence![]()
Any references for that? Not doubting your authenticity, just interested.had it not been for the outstanding tribunal decision for compensation due to WBA.
