Hi mates!
My name is Simone and I'm an Italian Bees' fan.
Together with my friend Ugo we have created a blog to raise awareness of the Brentford here in Italy.
This is the link:

http://brentfordfcitalianbees.blogspot.it/

We are writing you because we would be very honored to know real fans like you and become your friends.
We could work together to improve our blog; learn more about the history of the club and feel closer to the club.

Thanks to all and sorry for my bad English.

Gooo Bees!

My team in Italy is Juventus.
I love since I was little English football and I have always followed on television. Premier, Championship, but a few months ago by chance I found myself watching League One Brentford and I met. Out of curiosity I went to check the history of the club and every time something new that I knew I was always more fond of this club until I realized that Brentford was not a team like the others and I'm loving it!
I was in England in London, Liverpool.
I can not wait to be back in London to come and see a game at Griffin Park!
I'd like to come in September or October.

sorry but I'm not very good with English.
No I do not seek glory. I'm just real fans of brentford to share my passion and meet new friends.
In Italy there are not many fans of the brentford and it is not easy to follow from Italy.
I wrote here just to feel closer to the team so that I can feel with you to cheer Brentford.

Ciao, Animal House, I just looked at your blog, well done. It looks very professional.
Don't worry about your english, as had already been said, if we could speak Italian as well as you speak english we would be doing very well.
Also, Don't worry about the "glory hunter" accusation, it's just the inevitable banter that you will encounter on this site. I'm sure everyone is happy to know our fame has spread to Italy and glad to have a new "ape".

Thank you all. I was not offended by "The first glory hunter". I know I'm new and nobody knows me so only over time will prove to you that my passion for Brentford is true. :)
I, however, are of Novara, a town near Varese (about 1 hour).
I'm 31 years old, married and have 1 child of 1 year. If it were a real passion would not waste all that time for the bees because of family and work I have very little time. But for Brentford this and more! :)
If you want to give me advice on how to improve the blog, or to learn more about the club tell me as well. I'm here for :).

Always thought Brentford should have been twinned with Juventus in the past as Turin was the headquarters of Fiat and Fiat's UK base was in Brentford. Could have been some interesting loans.

If you want to improve the blog and get more readers over here, you should include more photographs of Italian women - especially your TV Sports reporters. :sorted:

In the meantime, you could start by Googling "Natalie Sawyer, Sky Sports, Brentford fan". ;)

Oh, and re your Match Reports, it was Stuart Dallas who scored the first goal on Saturday, not Marcello. Considering everyone in the media over here seems to have got that one wrong, you can be the first to put the record straight in Italy.

P.S. On a more serious note, the Blog look s very good!

Looks like a good blog but not speaking italian makes it hard to make any suggestion except to say Stuart Dallas scored our first goal yesterday

Thank you all. I did not know there was a fiat based in Brentford.
I wrote Trotta because yesterday evening the official website brentford wrote Trotta .. I corrected thanks a lot!
hahaha .. pictures of beautiful women always work well! :)

I wanted to ask. There is also opportunity for those who are not of Brentford to buy the T-shirt celebrating the championship in promotion?

I don't know if anyone else agrees, but I'd love someone from the club to pick up on this thread and post this bloke a couple of free t-shirts in order to help spread the word.

Thank you very much. Enough for me that you could buy online. In the online shop I bought the beach towel, a mug and a keyring Brentford :)
Have the T-shirt promotion would be great!
Surely other Italians and other nations would buy.

Some things you may or may not know, basic stuff

We have a pub on all 4 corners of the ground - only club in the country to have this

Our big rivals are QPR and Fulham but in the past has included Birmingham City and Watford amongst others

Our chairman at the time came up with the idea for the pay-offs in the late 80's, but we have the second worst record in the country losing 7 times out of 7 (maybe 8 out of 8 I cant remember)

Some of the most popular players over the past 25-30 years are Andy Sinton, Terry Evans ,Dean Holdsworth, Gary Blisset and Jay Tabb all of whom went on to play in the Premiership except Evans

The common view amongst fans is that the worst player in the history of the club was a forward called Murray Jones. There have been lots of contenders though

The Hillsborough disaster in 89 where 96 Liverpool fans lost their lives wouldnt have happened if Brentford had beaten them in the previous round

Singer Rod Stewart once had trials with Brentford

Our owner dresses like a homeless guy but is the saviour of our club

There is no record of Rod Stewart having ever had a trial and he has recently admitted it was a little white lie made up many years ago.

I'd like to add to the hair-splitting.

The Play-offs were not the chairman's idea, he simply suggested their implementation. The concept of sporting play-offs have been around for at least 90 years.

Oh FFS well obviously they werent his idea in terms of the history of sport, I'm just trying to help a bloke with an enthusiasm for Brentford.

Calm down. I did qualify my remark by calling it 'Hair-splitting'.

Marcello Trotta may be our current Italian striker but he's not the best... That was Lorenzo Pinamonte who scored one of the greatest goals I've ever seen at Griffin Park...

Simone, ben fatto con il blog. Quando si arriva a Griffin Park posso praticare il mio italiano! Ti offro una birra al la Griffin!

Thank you all for the compliments and for the information, I have already added in the club's history.
Guys it was just fate that I became a fan of Brentford: Pinamonte played between 2003 and 2005 in Novara football club ... and I'm Novara and I've also seen him play.

warwickroadbee Thanks for the beer offer .. I accept it willingly :) . I can not wait to be able to drink a beer with you before and after the game at Griffin Park.

ps. you tell: Simone, quando verrai al Griffin Park potrò far pratica con il mio Italiano. Ti offro una birra al Griffin :)

Hi, mates!
I'm Ugo, the other one Italian Bee!
I'm from Bari, Puglia, in the South-East of the country.
I took up to follow Bees and British football since 2012, thanks to an Italian forum about UK, which is www.rulebritannia.forumfree.it .
Have a look, if you're interested to! :D

ps my Italian team is the club of my town, Bari, which Brentford met in 1992! :D

Keep in touch! :)

One question: Brentford played the Anglo Italian Cup in 1992 against Bari and against Cesena. He played more games against Italian teams?

Ok no problem :).

Inter vs Brentford this season i now.

But other match of first team?

Anyone know who I can ask for the shirt celebrating the promotion? Where can I buy online or if they think they put it on sale on the online shop?
