Sadly that makes them a strong contender for promotion now.
Possibly it does but he is very quick but his first touch is appalling they won’t get promoted they will fall away they have goals in them but so does there defence more holes then a sieve

They made a big thing of wanting to have a model "like Brentford" and have signed 32 year old Charlie Austin and 30 year old Andre Gray. They'd better hope they go up to pay for them - although of course if they do, both would need to be replaced with better. Ridiculous business, I thought they'd learnt from previous mistakes. Warburton is a charlatan, he says the right things and then always goes in for the short term sh*t or bust.

Did some work with a member of Watford's analytics team in the summer . Asked about Andre which was met with a curt reply of how he was the worst signing they've made in a long while. Caused the club serious embarrassment with his off-field antics during lockdown

Quick check and it is reported that both Austin and Gray were on £70k pw in the EPL. Neither look to me to be particularly charitable people so I imagine they are getting a very good whack out of QPR.

In one sense they have learnt.

That is, last time they spent huge dosh on players to get them promoted, whereas this time they're spending buttons on players to get them promoted.

Of course last time, those players proved completely inadequate once they got to the PL.

Whereas if they got promoted this time, then

Oh wait...

This is fantastic news, no? 🤓

Ah, but they never said which year’s Brentford. Warburton may be looking to recreate the Brentford of 13-15 and his heyday before we foolishly dispensed with his wisdom and adopted a new model.

Thought you guys might like this one 😂

I have my concerns about this one, but it's not the wage or age. We've got enough young players coming through and a good wage structure. Also allows young Kendall out on loan who I have reasonably high hopes for.

There is also strong footballing rationale for bringing him in. We struggle against high press teams and his pace is designed to help counter that.

My concern is that he seems like a complete b£ll £nd and we've just got rid of our worst offender there in Kane. We have a good dressing room at the moment and one bad apple could easily ruin that.

You may well be right.

Then again, anyone who's ever played football will know someone who may have done a great job on the pitch on a Saturday afternoon, but you wouldn't ever have wanted to go for a drink with him on Saturday evening.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how pleased would we have been if we'd signed Andre Gray last summer when Ollie Watkins left?

Couldn’t hit the proverbial Carmel’s arse these days, and comes across as a complete cock. And the wrong side of 30. And on preposterous wages.
So ticking all the boxes for Rangers.

I think he is a tool. However, he is only 30 which is no age. If he is hungry enough and still has pace, sadly, he and Austin will score loads for that team.

He has pace, is powerful and certainly better than that donkey of a skinhead up front but not sure he isn’t spent. I think they will continue to do well this season but the side isn’t one building for the future but the now.

Did Charlie Austin leave before Kane then??......

Managers are generally in charge for a short time so I’d say he’s got it spot on. Isn’t the average tenure in the championship around 14 months?

Sourness took over Rangers in 1986 and said he couldn’t give a sh*t what their youth team was like, as he wouldn’t be around to find out how they would fare in men’s football. He was right.

Understand that but that's not the message he gives.

It’s kept Warnock going all these years too. If MW takes that lot up he’ll never want for a job.

QPR should make playoffs this season. After WBA. FULHAM and BOURNEMOUTH who else has any quality. Hopefully MUFF will beat them at Wembley

Andre has been awful during his time at Watford. A couple of Hornets I know think he's the worst player they ever signed and was one of their highest earners.

His touch is still shocking and lacking composure in front of goal still. The worst thing is his desire, which seems to have disappeared since getting the rock star fiancee and millions in the bank.

I might be proven wrong but don't think this is a great signing for them.

Having said that not sure he can be much worse than that Lindon Dykes who tries hard but is dreadful (according to Rara mate)

Apparently so but his goals and assist record is ridiculous the last 10 games he's played, hopefully that stops ASAP 🤞🏻
