'Luton will look to sign a defender as well with Andy Frampton of Brentford top of Mike Newells list.'

On current form  Just give us enough time to sign a replacement.

I'd take back all the nasty things I've said about Newell if this were true. Overall, Frampton isn't a bad player, but he's not that good and he'll be a financial liability when we go down - if necessary, I'd let him go on a free, and would snatch the arm off anyone who offered a fee.

We might not get a great replacement in the Jan window, but we're going down anyway, and Tillen and Charles can try to prove they're worth keeping (though I think we have Tillen next season anyway)

A couple of pints

Thats all he's worth.. Get money for him and SELL...

The defence are mean't to be the most experienced area at the club...yesterday they were disgraceful.

If this is true (hardly likely because he is dogshite) then Luton have just made about £3m out of the two transfers so snap their hands off...

If it's a decent amount of money I can't see us saying no.

Even though we are struggling this season, and even though Framps has not been the most consistent, we must still value him at what he is worth.

He has played a major part in two very successful seasons in this division and his form this season has been effected by two very separate injuries.
We showed as a club how much we value him by giving him the contract he was given earlier in the season.
In that contract I would expect that there is a clause to allow him to talk to clubs if they offer a certain fee which I would hope to be at least £150,000.

We're down.

Sell as many of the useless fcks as we can, get them off the wagebill and play juniors for the rest of the season.

Is Newell on drugs? Never liked him since his handball at Wembley in 85.

I agree he was absolutely top notch for the last two seasons

But this season he has been utter dogshite, i was actually gobsmacked by how piss poor he was on saturday.

At one point he had the ball passed back to him just short of the half way line, he ran back, ummed and ahhhed and fecked about with it, then finally did a massive airkick that somehow went out for a corner to orient lol

It was embarrasing and you could hear the Orient fans laughing their bollox off at him :(

I think that just shows the lack of confidence.....but i agree, we gave away too many passes and the defence looked like leaking goals if only their forwards were a little more cultured in their approach!!

Framps and KOC have shown me what playing next to two very good CBs can do for your ability. Basically it can make you look a lot better than you actually are.

Doesn't do any harm to have Tabby to pass the ball to either.

Seems to me that Kev is standing off his winger more than he used to, which may be down to concerns about lack of cover behind - when Sodje was there if the winger put the ball past Kev, there would be a chance of Sam cutting him off - not much chance with current CBs

I'm suprised he didn't get more flack for Swansea's goals in the Play-offs.

Anything over 20k....

Very over-rated player. Defensively very naive when it comes to being in the right place when crosses are delivered and trying to play off side. I for one would not be overly concerned if he left the club. Makes Jamie Bates look fast across the deck.

Happy for him to go and if Mike Newell is reading this we also have a right back you can have if you are interested.

Kev and Framps had a specific role this season to be leaders of men and use their experience to help out the youngsters in the squad. IMO they have failed magnificently

He can stay at my place until he sorts himself out too. How much rent do you think I should charge him? All proceeds to Fighting Chance of course

Maybe when KOC doesn't play, Framo plays a lot better and uses his Captaincy well. From having a dire match v Leyton Orient he is now MOM v Yeovil... just a thought like........

Another captains performance yesterday, fans are quick to knock him when he's had a bad game. It's ashame they aren't as quick to do the opposite when he's had a good game. Maybe he should be made the captain, at least he talks to his team mates unlike KOC.

Played well at Yeovil and yesterday but I wish he would feck off to another club and offer to their slap fans in face after being part of many slappings we were getting week after week.

Sounds like he was awesome today. Maybe give him the captains armband, even when O'Conner's fit again?

Soccerbase and the BBC have him as five bookings.

They list that he was booked at Forest in the JPT.

I was at that game and didn't note a booking and have him at four bookings

:suspect: The offical site now has him listed as 4 on the match report, that was 5 this morning when i read it

I double and then treble checked my stats and as the FA don't have him listed as suspended next week I backed my count.

I'm prepared to give him another chance after his "Leader Of Men" performance against Brighton.

This could also be Fitz's first 'man management' challenge........"Kevin, you're not captain anymore, please give the armband to Framps".

So does everyone still want him to feck off???

I didn't want him to feck off in the first place, just put in some performances to warrant the new contract

This he is now doing and fair play to him :sorted:

Always liked him to be honest ever since Wally's days ( who didn't really use him well enough IMHO), he has average games but rarely a stinker, always gives 100% and a decent player for this level.

If we stay up he will have played his part.
