Gills boss Martin Allen told the club website: "It's my job to help him, support him and guide him in the right direction and help him score goals."

He added: "He doesn't know it yet but he will be pushed and pressured into the toughest pre-season, both mentally and physically, to maximise his undoubted ability."

Sounds like the new ishiah rankin

No way, Isiah had a career and was once sold for a million quid. German has barely started and it looks doubtful if his career will get off the ground at Football league level

Nothing like him, Rankin had a career of 200+ league games and was transferred from Arsenal to Bradford for £1M + and then onto Barnsley for £300K +. German had a handful of games as a 16 year old at QPR when he looked like he was a very promising prospect but sadly he never developed beyond that and he's become a nearly man.

For clarification my reference to Rankin was in relation to how Martin will be treating him now to encourage the goals to flow

he wont even get a game now! didn't play yesterday.. he will be treated the same way as Steve Claridge and Mr Blobby Neil Shipperley - in then out..

Three of the four transfer-listed players played in the win over Crewe, while Germy didn't even make the squad.

I suspect he'll be at Dover Athletic or somewhere similar soon...not good enough but clearly thinks he is better than he is.

I actually think his best hope was staying with our Development squad, I thought there was a player in there but his attitude had to be improved. He turned us down, went to Gills, rarely plays, confidence must be low and has already been transfer listed once. I understand the want to play more first team games but wasn't a good move at the time IMO.

In something of a turnaround, he's appeared in each of Gillingham's first three matches of the season, making his first start yesterday.

It is weird to think that just over two years ago we had to rely on him to bail us out with a 90th minute equaliser against Preston. How we've moved on.

Not good enough for us, yet gets listed among the Premier League and Scottish Premiership transfers on the BBC website. What a joke.
