There ya go...... No need to bother on Friday now, concentrate on giving them a good buzzing!!!!
Nonsense....some on here are demanding we let him tap it in from kick off to give then the lead and keep him happy ? It’s only sporting surely ?? 😳

No idea on the score, but I confidently predict there's gonna be a lot of hammered people in the vicinity of Kew Bridge by 20:00 on Friday......😁

I predict audible gasps from the stands when Arsenal take their training tops off and debut their new 3rd kit.

(it looks like the top half of a child's PJ set).

Can't fathom why they don't just play in their new yellow away kit given it'll provide a better contrast between the two sides.
I quite like that!

I am assuming we're just using last seasons? Consider we are required by the PL to have a third kit it is awfully quiet.

Realistically I can see a 0-3 or perhaps a 1-3 and a bump back to reality. But you never know. Fingers crossed. ;)

that isnt realistic at all though
I caught a bit of AFTV yesterday and they seem to think they are in disarray, badly in need of a keeper and a creative midfielder.
I have no doubt who is going to the most up for the game.

A collective gasp will be made throughout the land as people realise Brentford not to make up numbers

2 - 1 Bees go top of the league Ivan and Frank the Tank. Don’t care who scores for them. Lionel Road starts getting Fortress status in the EPL

If Arsenal score first then it will be really hard for us to get back into it. If we are level on the hour then we can take it late on but, as others have said, something along the lines of the first Championship game against Charlton is perhaps more likely.

Before the game I’d say I’d be happy with a point, but happy with a point at the end will generally only mean we’ve scored a late equaliser, otherwise it’s always there to be won (at 0-0).

If we start well and score an early goal, I think Arsenal could be quite rattled and we could win.

If we look nervous on the big stage , we could get blown away as the Arsenal team still has top 4 quality in it.

Really have no idea tbh, but my heart is saying 2-1 bees 🙏🏻

Pinnock to get a goal, header of course. He got one against Wycombe in the league cup last year 1st goal at new ground, Got one against Valencia, official opening of the ground, both headers.

First Premier league game Its got to be him on the score sheet for the 'hat-trick' of firsts.

Brentford 1 Arsenal 2

Lots of people on here predicting losses. I genuinely think Arsenal is our best chance of a win against a top half club. They have big names up front but they have been awful going forward for ages. I’ll be positive and predict 2-1 Brentford.

Funnily enough from the “What other clubs say about Brentford” thread, I ended up scrolling through an Arsenal forum equivalent of this thread and most were predicting an Arsenal loss.

The encouraging thing from the Man U and Valencia friendlies was that we kept going after conceding and pulled back goals. I think in terms of ethos we’re far from the club of two seasons ago that often came out losers after conceding first. We’re going to concede goals. Everyone does. But we need to ensure one doesn’t lead straight to a second and keep on attacking to relieve that pressure.

All the turnstiles switch off before the match again like Saturday. Kick off delayed.

2-1 Toney, Pontus.

“WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE!” from all 4 sides of the ground for most of the match.

Think a score draw is most likely, which let's be honest would be a great results for us. Would be a good platform to build off and give us a lot of belief going in Palace (who I expect will be smashed by Chelsea).

Also for those interested, I've created a Brentford fans BetRebel league to predict the scores - league code: Tf3G0dIpY9aNXnrVoDYC

Possibly the biggest event in National Hunt racing is the Cheltenham Festival. Each year at the start of the first race the crowd (60k) let out a huge roar.
Let’s hear the BEES supporters (17k) let out a greater roar of encouragement to the team at the first whistle.

Despite the club's success in recent seasons, Bees have only won the first league game once in the last nine attempts - the last two, defeats against Birmingham, are still fresh in the memory. I'm keeping a lid on my expectations !

A real electric atmosphere under the lights. We do Thomas a top top top job from the stands. Our boys turn over The Gooners 3-1. A slow start but an Ethan header, Toney (Pen) and Frank the Tank delivering a missile of a shot in the last minute sends us top👍

Honestly can't decide what on earth the result will be. All bets are off. One minute I'm thinking, let's be realistic, we could get done comfortably here. The next I'm seeing Toney slot the third in for a glorious victory! Whatever happens I hope we at the very least show what we're about, don't get overawed by the occasion, and let them know they've been in a game. Can't wait!!

I had put 1 point out of 3 games on an earlier thread but on reflection, and after 4 points of Meantime Pale Ale (a very underrated beer IMO), I’m feeling more optimistic. Arsenal are a bunch of fragile flowers. Show them no respect at all and let’s make them think that losing to a bus stop is entirely possible. If Toney gets enough of the ball, he will bully them. 2-1 Bees (Toney, Mbeumo).

Score Draw is what the heart says.

Head is saying gooners take an early lead and then lock up shop while we try and find an answer with a late flurry which could lead to counters made against us. Silly brain - stop thinking 🤯

Good luck tonight you Bees, I bet you can literally touch the excitement for the match.
You lot are officially my 2nd team.
Have a good one, I can see a home win, 1-0.

I’m going for a 2-0 bees win. I don‘t normally do predictions, but very disappointed in some of our fans predictions.

So, I don't have the faintest but since that's not the point of this thread I'm having a punt with...

2-1 Bees. Mbeumo & Janelt. Don't give a toss who the arse scorer is if we win ;)
