Seems like no decision has yet been revealed by the government again today. Perhaps the focus group couldn't meet because of Covid restrictions. Novaxx was in today's draw and has been drawn against another Serbian although probably not a fellow antivaxer.

They delayed draw for over an hour waiting to see what their PM would say in his press conference

I havent been going out much but would actually be tempted to pop down if he gets through. Will be an interesting crowd of pissed up aggro Serbs and on the other side right minded people who will be giving him a lot of sh*t for being such a colossal ****.

Seems the Aussies are not content with keeping him out of the tournament or the country but dragging this out until he is utterly ridiculed and humiliated too. Good stuff

Probably been told to go quietly and then he will be allowed back next year

Probably but more likely by filing an injunction he'll buy himself time to compete in this year's AO then letting the case proceed with his lawyers to fight for entry into next year's open. He has the money so I still think he'll be competing in Melbourne next week although I don't agree he should be.

Was listening to an Australian immigration lawyer earlier this morning.

He wasn't at all surprised when the first appeal succeeded. But that was because it was essentially a procedural matter and the authorities clearly screwed up.

But as matters have unfolded and information has emerged this week, he reckons ND's case in his second appeal is now weaker, since it will be judged on substance (dates, declarations, behaviour etc), not process.

Deported,oh no (depending on Saturday of course), I'm on my second box of Kleenex. Looking forward to our favourite lad, going home to face the wrath of Serbian justice over his Covid isolation 'Misstep'. Could be a very, very long wait.

On the news. His lawyers are trying to get a second injunction on his Visa. He's lied all the way through, and still persists. It would seem IMHO he loves the rule of law when it suits him. Other times not so much.

Total cooperation and smarminess will now be the order of the day for Novax in his quest for future return to Oz in search of records.

It get better from the Djokovic family . This was taken from BBC Sports WebSite

Srdjan Djokovic posted: "The assassination attempt on the best sportsman in the world is over, 50 bullets to Novak’s chest - after all, he gives support to a young 17-year-old player, so that’s Nole, a man, a brother, see you in Paris."

Djokovic has left Australia - his flight has just departed.

I don’t know who comes out of this a bigger throbber: Djokovic or dad of Djokovic.

Yes I always believe parents should stick up for their kids , But the parents statement during this have been at time a joke . 50 bullets is the latest

I can't understand why people don't want to be vaccinated, But I still respect their choice, Him and his entourage knew exactly what the requirements of the Australian Gov were to enter the country, They chose to try and manipulate the strict quarantine rules laid down because of his personal choice not to be vaccinated because he doesn't believe in it, But It was handled badly from the beginning, But at least the Australian Gov had the balls to do the right thing in the end, Interesting what stance him and his team take when he tries to play at Wimbledon unvaccinated !!! Hopefully our Gov get it right from the off.

When all's said and done, he's just been chucked out for an admin "error".
Providing he gets that right, playing at Wimbledon shouldn't be a problem, would it - footballers play unvaccinated.

Not sure an admin error is the correct reason, the Australian regulations state that exemption from entry is not given if you've had covid. The tennis authorities can give exemption into their tournament but it still relies on government permission being granted.

OK, I'm guessing the original court verdict would have stood if it wasn't for the misdeclaration of countries visited, but I'm no expert.

I was more that UK entry requirements are looser than Australia's so he shouldn't fall foul of those

See the Brits start as usual in the Slams.
Norrie 12 seed knocked out. Was always going to be a hard game against Korda

Back to Novax a sec but I can't figure out what his group were trying to pull off. A medical exemption means you have a medical reason not to get the jab right? Did he finally decide he did want the jab in December but oh, no - caught Covid at the same time so he couldn't get it. Bad luck, let me in please? If so that isn't enough time to get the required number of jabs and for immunity to build up

Or did he mean I've got antibodies now (see Aaron Rodgers in the NFL's statements a few months back about having immunity without saying he had the vaccine) due to the infection which isn't medical exemption from getting the vaccine
