Why do we need to be a member for coach travel when we are already s/t holders or members just seems to be a unecessary cost

You don't you just pay a bit more. Seems fair enough to me as the coaches have nothing to do with season tickets.

As I thought you already knew Nanny, the Travel Club is organised seperately from the Football Club, as indeed it has been for the past 65 years. Since the Supporters Club (then the Supporters Association) were no more, it has been run by 2/3 people you know well, and funded by those who travel, with any shortfall being picked up by yours truly. Setting up such a membership a few years ago, helped finance the increased cost of coaches, whilst the cost of travelling on the coach did not increase for 95% of the games over the past five years. There are well advertised incentives for those who do travel by coach as members of the Travel Club, and indeed travel costs are also cheaper for S/T Holders and Members of the Club and Supporter Groups. However we continue, at times, to run at a loss when let down by those who book a place/s on the coach and fail to turn up without advising us.

For the past two seasons it has only been the income from the Travel Club membership that has ensured we haven’t incurred too much of a loss.

I hope that is of assistance.

I've just received my 34th year Lifeline Membership Card. Rather than Sir PG footing the bill, surely Lifeline can pick up the slack? Who would object to that?
