No point looking forward to this when there may not be a stream, or the stream is more testcard than actionCharlton Athletic U/23 v Brentford B (1.30pm)
Charlton Athletic Training Ground ( Wednesday 29th September 2021)
We paid money for many who were playing yesterday.Did anyone watch the game against Charlton? As we get better and better I find myself more and more interested in the B team - and wonder how many of them stand any chance of breaking through. Notice that Bidstrup started the last two - match time for potential first team appearances or is he dropping back in the order? Seems like Peart-Harris had a good game - we paid money for him so curious how he's developing too.
1-1score please ?
Thanks mate1-1

Charlton Athletic Under-23s 1 Brentford B 1
Brentford B were held to a 1-1 draw by Charlton Under-23s at Sparrows Lane on Wednesday afternoon.www.brentfordfc.com
Bidstrup said in his interview after the Hampton match he was getting minutes under the belt with first team opportunities limited at the moment. Problem was he let himself down in the Carabo Cup game aginst Forest Green so instead of pushing for more 1st team, he slipped down the pecking order. Unless Janelt or Norgaard get injured his pathway is blocked at the moment.Did anyone watch the game against Charlton? He did alright when he came in at West Ham. I am inclined to put Bidstrup’s FGR performance as a result of Frank’s ill-conceived first-half tactical experimentBidstrup said in his interview after the Hampton match he was getting minutes under the belt with first team opportunities limited at the moment. I thought he made a big difference when he came on as the midfield from running near empty was a full tank again and was instrumental in getting the free kick at the end. The good thing is he hasn't been a stroppy kid after the FGR game but knuckled down and played for the B team to get form and fitness and is now ready as we'll be needing him more with Baptiste looking like could be out a whileHe did alright when he came in at West Ham. 1) plays the Norgaard roletwo questions if i may please for those who watch the B team live:
one : where does Mads Bidstrup play in midfield for the Bs?
two - and this is for longer established fans (!): how do you think our best / stronger current B teams compare to the last first teams we put out before Mathew Benham bought the club?
Thanks!
thanks Leonardo1) plays the Norgaard role
2) Current B team would rollover pre Benham teams

London Senior Cup
Sorry I am showing my age. We've not been Athletic for 12 years now!
However, the old ground from the Athletic days is just 200 yards away from our current ground - pitch is now a park and there are houses on the old clubhouse and car park. Be great to see a few Bees at our 'new' ground, St Paul's, for the London Senior Cup game though.
Nearest tube is Rotherhithe - ten minutes walk. (Left out the station and up Salter Road, past the old ground on right and onto the ground on left). Free street parking outside the ground along the length of Salter Road. (@jmf may wish to use Greenland Dock for the yacht). £8 adults, £5 concessions accompanied Under 16s free - cash or card on gate. Local brewer, Anspach and Hobday canned beers and lager on sale. 32 page programme for £2 with feature on the 23 players with Bees and Fish connections - some surprises there, Alan Connell and Martin Grainger included. Plus this backdrop comes free with ground entry!

Why does it have to be behind closed doors? I used to enjoy afternoon games at Jersey Rd.Barnet fc Home (Jersey Road)
Wed Oct 13 2021 12:00 (behind closed doors).
Might be that there will be Trialists involved, and either club doesn't want outsiders knowing about them. Why does it have to be behind closed doors? I used to enjoy afternoon games at Jersey Rd.
Still COVID related, I’m sure. Access to the training ground is tightly controlled I’d imagine. Why does it have to be behind closed doors? I used to enjoy afternoon games at Jersey Rd.
