Does anyone know, do we pay expenses, eg coach hire, to non-league or smaller clubs for playing these matches?

Can't imagine so. It's not like they are doing us a favour by playing us. A match benefits us just as much as it does them.

ok.

I do remember , when we were skint, we struggled to pay coach hire for a Middlesex Cup away match one year.

If I am correct for PSF we used to have to pay clubs to play us.

Does anyone know if the B team have returned to training as well as the first team? Due to play a game next tuesday but hasn't been any evidence of them being back....

Looks like B team are playing Hemel Hempsted on Saturday according to the interview with Neil MacFarlane. Also hinted that the B team would be in transition over the next month as a load of trialists in and changes before end of transfer window. Guessing a couple more going out then?

Unless it is intended to play any new arrivals in the first team any signings are not restricted by the transfer window.

Doesn’t appear to be. Hopefully they’ll pop up a last minute stream but it appears to be at Bisham Abbey so may not have anything set up for us

One thing I've noticed about the recent B signings is that they are all players the club feel could develop to play at the very highest level - hence the fact they are already on the bench for the first team. I would expect anyone else we bring in this year to be of the same calibre (the new keeper Winterbottom seems to fit this profile) and so it's likely they would at least like to have the option to include them in the first team

Quite agree there does appear to be a serious step up in standard.

That lineup, bloody hell!

Brentford B: Thompson, Valgeirsson (Trialist, 60), Gordon (Brook, 75), Trialist (Trialist, 45), Trialist (Trialist, 45), Haygarth, Gilbert, Hercules (Mogensen, 60), Trialist (Carre, 70), Adams (Trialist, 45), Crama (Trialist, 60)

Whoever it was that commented about the match reports featuring annoying future tense-style stuff like "Brentford B would almost score three late on" will love this report.

Good to see Adams back. Thought maybe he was no longer with us, has had an excellent season and been unlucky not to get some first team recognition

This is the Highlights of the game against Hemel Hampstead

If you have the time have a glance at the passage of play that starts at 0.59 on the video; impressive or what? I don't know if any of the Trialists are involved in the move but it is quality play at any level. HH are 15th in NL South so they must be of some standard.

yeh, nice one touch footie! Shame the striker (presumably Hercules) got the ball stuck under his feet otherwise would have been a fantastic goal..

This seems to have disappeared off the B team fixture list on the OS.. Victim of the weather?

Millwall game cancelled. Brentford B now playing Stevenage XI on Sunday eve at 6pm (at Hanwell's ground). Should be a live stream..
