Barrow ticket stubs... it's the Barrow Cup game that over-rides everything!
Has anyone actually got a FA Cup Barrow(A) ticket stub. They must go for £1000s on eBay!

2008? Pah! Mere boys! I still have my Barrow ticket from 1972!
That's just some random raffle ticket Mazz. You dont fool me. I did think I still had my Cardiff and Hull tickets from 71 but when I got my scrap book from archive (the garage in a box) they were missing but the space where they were and cellotape stain were still there.

They were standard issue upon entering Holker Street in 1972. They would change the ticket colour each game to prevent forgery. If you call Barrow Football Club, they will confirm that the Brentford game was purple. This is not a fake. :judge:

Wish I'd kept mine. I had no idea at the time it'd become so iconic. All I've got is my email receipt for the Travelodge opposite the ground, which is probably not worth £1000s on eBay...

🤨 Have you called Barrow and asked for a duplicate?

So we are up to three. How many went? Still about 11 to track down I reckon.

Confused.com. Can anybody explain why a matchday ticket that expired 12 years ago and can therefore no longer be used, be of any value? And why would anybody not have either A) slung it on the terraces or B) the more public spirited among us find a suitable bin for on the way home?

I have laminated mine to preserve it forever. A true night of BFC character-building awfulness although it was £1.50 a pint in their clubhouse and they were a nice bunch in there.

My son and I also stayed over in the Travelodge; we have boxes of Bees stuff up in the loft and there may well be the Barrow tickets in there... there's still a Wembley Wigan flag!

I've got a Wembley Wigan flag, with half a stick.

It's tripping over that stick that I do every time I go near it!

Never made it to Barrow, but if I did I wouldn't be able to prove it as I recently embarked upon binning 50 years worth of programmes and memorabilia. o_O

Just opened my Wigan programme and found the ticket stub inside Row 18, seat 273 which happened to be next to a lovely American lady who, apparently, always wanted to see a football (Soccer) match at Wembley. What luck to both see the mighty Bees and sit next to me.

I was there with Loughtonbee, Mick Cox and one of the Essex Jessies. Possibly Andy Mutton too, not sure though.
2 days of total bodily abuse has pretty much expunged the whole trip from my memory, I certainly don't still have the ticket stub!

No Smithy. Don't play up because you didn't go. I was there, I have my stub somewhere and nearly got bricked and bottled after the game. Thankfully I made it to the safety of the previously mentioned travelodge 😀🤪

Does both trump either?

I got the supporters coach up to Barrow (a trip that felt like a whole week!!) but thankfully my mate Chas gave me a lift home.

Darlo was a great trip and I flew up to Teesside International Airport (stayed at the on airport hotel).

Anyway, why weren't you at Barrow. I was expecting on lead vocals for "She woooooooooore"

Where were you lightweights when we did the midnight coaches to Barrow and Workington?
Platter trains to Gateshead, drunken binge flights to Hartlepool via Newcastle (cabs from Newcastle to Hartlepool...)
Dunno you’ve been born you girlies 😘

I can see Simmo in one of those photos. I seem to remember, he’s been to most alway venues over the years. I’m not sure if he keeps his ticket stubs. Barrow’s a long way and he gets hungry!!:pop::LOL:

Travelodge receipts have been known to change hands for a lot of money. Not so much on eBay though. It's usually blackmail.
