Clearly exhausted after no training.

Thankfully we played a sh*t team like Luton and we won.

Nice to see us be on the right side of a one nil where a team misses loads of chances. But can't help but think we would have smashed them if it wasn't due to the Covid outbreak.

Toney suspension will be against Leicester where he probably wouldn't have played so that's a bonus.

A lot of character in that performance and the Leicester game allows us a chance to get fitter and take it to Swansea.
Are Luton a sh*t team? Comfortably one of the best 10 teams in the division, IMO.

Generally no but he had a couple of chances in the 2nd half that he looked less assured with than when he was scoring for fun. General play was still decent but a silly red card that thankfully doesnt mean much.
I think what let him down was a little lack of pace rather than anything else.He cant score every game but crucially he got chances which is the main thing.

Anyone can beat anyone on their day in this league, that is why it's so tough. Luton will feel they should have got something out of the game. If we play the last 30 minutes in the same way against Swansea we will get beat. Enjoy the 3 points tonight, but we will need to be much better next Tuesday night.

I thought they were decent enough and we’ve played many worse teams this season. Jones is a thoughtful manager who has set them up to be able to change to react to opponents as a way of getting the most out of the team- it clearly works with a small club when it looked like indecision at Stoke which had a stronger but less flexible squad.

And if we play like we did in the first 30 we will probably win 🤷‍♂️

I think the 2nd half was understandable under the recent circumstances.

I think several players suffering from either after effects of Covid or just struggling with fitness. Good result but not best performance when a lot fans expecting a repeat of last season

I thought they were all application with out any real ability. I think Jones has got them playing for him and with another manager they would be in the bottom three comfortably.

There finishing and final ball was abysmal.

Here is your Wednesday evening Fact Check courtesy of Untouchable (Coronavirus recovery edition):

  1. Win 1-0 at home ✅
  2. And keep a clean sheet✅
  3. Only trained twice in 10 days because of a Coronavirus outbreak ✅
  4. Up to 3rd in the league ✅
  5. Only 1 point from second place with a game in hand ✅
  6. 2 games in hand on Norwich ✅
  7. Games in hand over every other promotion rival ✅
  8. Ghoddos in the goals again ✅
  9. 16 games unbeaten in the Championship ✅
  10. Ivan Toney guaranteeing himself the weekend off ✅
  11. Excellent cameo performance from Zamburek ✅
  12. The Bees have learnt to win ugly. Long may it continue ✅
  13. Leicester are getting smashed in the FA Cup on Saturday ✅
  14. Swansea City - you’re going to have to bring your ****ing dinner if you think you’re stopping this unbeaten run ✅
You missed 16 League Matches undefeated.

Probably shows that a long lay-off from a league match doesn’t always work in our favour.

First half dominant and smooth football, second half we scrapped to save the win.

However, we often said in the past of the teams that were promoted that their football was not always attractive.

Now, we are showing that we can get really gritty and grind out a result. In the past few years that’s exactly the sort of game we would have lost or drawn.

Defensively I thought we were very good, and that weathered the second half battle, with neither Dalsgaard or Henry getting too far forward and too adventurous.
Pinnock and Sørensen are a very good pairing, and progress each match they play together.

All in all a. Dry good result against an in-form Luton.

There were only 2 positive tests in our club and one of them was Thomas so at most it was one player and that could be anyone including a player that might not have played today.

I'd just put it down to no game in 21 days and us being a bit rusty but we got the result even if the 2nd half wasn't pretty.

That was the first set of tests. Not the tests that closed-down our training ground.

A draw would have been a fair result. We dominated the first half, they threatened to overrun us second half. With better finishing they might have won. You could see why they're holding their own in midtable.

So a skin-of-teeth 1-0 win is very welcome. I makes up for one of those games earlier in the season where we deserved to win but only drew.

Is that a fact ? Surely the whole training set up wouldn’t have been closed down on that basis ?
Haven’t seen the actual numbers but I suspect more than two. Is there any official confirmation ?

I must be wrong but I can’t recall us scoring from a long throw in my 40 plus years . It seems to always end up with the opposition in possession and us out of a position in a dangerous situation !

The idea is to improve our set-piece conversion

We scored in the first minute against some body from a Donaldson throw in one of Warburtons first games in charge.

I thought it was Oldham but it wasn't.

Not a big fan of long throws.. We have recently though I think scored from a short throw when we were expected it throw it long, so if we mix it up a bit it might be useful purely as a distraction..

Good 3 points . Don’t think we were lucky at all , Could have been 3-0 at H/T . Yes Luton had a lot of attacks second half but didn’t really test Raya . We should have had a couple second half . 6 points against that sh*te and no goals conceded, I’ll take that .

great result all things considered. Toney was due a few quieter games but he will be rested in the cup and ready to go against Swansea.
Great seeing Ghoddos on the scoresheet again. Couldn't tell what happened with the red card but seemed like handbags.
