Great result, crap game. Pretty solid first half display but poor second. We defend well and get men behind the ball quickly but are so lacking any creativity. We got 3 points today because Everton had no idea how to put the ball in the net.

It was an ugly win, but win nonetheless. We stopped the bleeding, earned the cleansheet and that's what matters now. Yes, Everton's pressure in the second half was beyond annoying, but they didn't have any real chances to crack our defense which finally looked like a cohesive unit. All in all, I'm happy with what I saw today.

The points were the only thing that mattered today and despite not playing our best we showed the sort of battling qualities that we will need for the rest of the season.

Phew, big three points! We needed, and for once got, the rub of the green today but we need to improve dramatically.

I'm glad Gray wasn't playing from the start. Fernandez looks fine handling-wise but was very poor with some of his clearances.

Thought FTT was a plus in the first half but hoping Baptiste is the man to give us that extra guile going forwards now he is fit again.

Big win to give us some confidence and momentum, especially pleased that Toney on the scoresheet.

Been quite a while since I've posted. Didn't look like a great performance but a welcome clean sheet and 3 points.
We have 7 league games coming up in a busy December, plus the EFL quarter final. I don't expect us to get a lot out of December (being realistic, and perhaps slightly pessimistic) so it was great to get the result today.

Ivan definitely deserved the MOTM, his composure on the ball seemed miles ahead of others today.

Surprised by the comments on here. We created some golden chances in the first half and could have had 3or4 goals, that’s great stuff against a well established PL side. Second half yes wasn’t that pretty but Rafa is a world class manager and made the right tactical changes to pin us in moving the team 10 yards further up that made it difficult to play through the press like we did first half, we’ve lost 4 out of the last 5 ffs so is it any wonder we became a little erratic trying to defend our lead - which may I add - we did with every ounce of effort the team could have possibly mustered.

Can't question the effort, but the quality has to improve to stay in this league, hard to get quality in January, let's hope we have enough to get us through until August, but reinforcements definitely needed.
