Absolutely MASSIVE result!! What a turnaround. Fantastic second half, totally different team. Introduction of Jensen made a huge difference and Mbeumo and Ghoddos simply outstanding second half. Norgaard coming back the icing on the cake. Gave us all the willies with some needless free kicks near the end but well deserved winners in the end and with a bit of composure could well have scored more.. So good to finally get one over on Stoke. Now, please, please, please, no more shooting ourselves in the foot!!

Most chuffed I've been all season with a result.. we looked dead and buried at half time.. great character from the boys to come out all guns blazing.

Great aggression in that second half to press and disrupt Stoke. Fantastic to see players pressing as a unit and getting in their faces.

This squad has a real hunger and desire, which is what I am loving. If we keep that bit between our teeth it will get us over the line, no more Mr nice Bees.

I thought during the week Michael O'Neill would have too much knowledge for Thomas. I wish it wasn't the case but O'Neill not for the first time has got his tactics spot on. We simply don't do tactics, we have a lovely style of football which is pleasing on the eye but there isn't in depth analysis. O'Neill has dropped Fletcher, targeted Janelt, overloaded the midfield and added some cyanism. They're well drilled as we have just come along for a kickabout. We don't need to do anything over the top, but we do need to add a tactically aware coach to what we already have to bring us to the next level.
Our club doesn't do in depth analysis? What a f***ing laughable comment.

Is this some sort of tactic by TF, whereby we go 0-1 down, and then we have to really get motivated in the second half!

The players may be trained for sticking so well to their task in these situations.

However, we are at that stage of the season, where I need to go into training to be able to watch this type of game, and remembering to breathe at the same time!

With us conceding so many early goals Raya should hit the ball long until he has had more touches on the ball.
Not been a Ghoddos fan but he did very well second half, probably need someone to move that rocket from his arse.

YESSSSSS!!!!! WHAT A 2ND HALF!!!!
That was absolutely fantastic, refreshing (as well as much needed) to see the boys switch things up and take the game by the scruff of the neck! Well done Thomas Frank- whatever he said at half time really changed things around! Awesome!
And full credit to the boys second half to go out with so much energy and aggression. Fantastic. Loved seeing the boys running at Stoke, taking the game to them, sending the ball long at times to cause havoc. Brilliant!
Special shout out to Ghoddos- loved his running and pressuring in the 2nd half! Also, have to say Mbeumo did well too with his strength.
Definitely a game of two very different halves. Glad we got them in the right order!!
Fantastic result! Proud of the boys! COYB!!

Does Michael O'Neill have some sort of official fan club on here. Everytime we have played them people pop up and start waxing lyrical about his genius. I don't remember anyone doing similar about Mark Robins last week. Bizarre as Stoke have a massive wage bill and yet have come here and they barely created a chance.

It's the Irish thing. (Bearing in mind the original poster)!

As I said earlier, once we go direct, quicker and start putting the ball up to or beyond their back 4, it takes out their entire midfield.

With the pace of Toney, Mbeumo and Canos running at any team, the opposition defence always find it difficult to back pedal, rather than letting them have time to come towards us.

That was the big difference between the two halves. We were at them, and getting the ball in and around their penalty area all the time.

Great result Bees, and good to see Janelt and Ghoddos taking the chance to shoot direct. Would like to see that done more often.

We may look back and see this day, and the other results, as the key to what happens at the season end!

Well that ended up alright didn't it?

Half time I was fuming, even stopped myself from posting here, but TF got into them at HT, changed things up, Jensen quality when he came on, just gave us that little bit of composure on the ball, Bryan and Saman looked like they were different players after the break.

Other results going our way too today, that's the type of win promotions are won on.

We don't do things the easy way!

Gift of a start and we couldn't get going first half. Change of tactics second half that put us on the front foot but it was swapping Jensen for Dasilva that sparked the big difference – moving the ball forward quickly and really disrupting Stoke's organisation, ably assisted by MO'N's decision to swap out their players on yellows and remove their left back. Brilliant hit by Janelt on a ball they couldn't clear to equalise and a great attacking move with a deft touch from Mbeumo, who'd sprung to life, and equally deft touch from Toney, getting in front of the defender.

A few scary moments as they threw balls at us but made it in the end... made sweeter by the early result at Bournemouth and the late result in Wales. Bring on the budgies!

If we do manage to get promoted then we will look back at that second half as a big, big moment in our season.

After conceding about 15 goals all season Swansea let in 7 in two games. What a mad league this is. Also glad to see Cardiff's run ended late on at Boro.
It;s actually 3 - but yes. They were playing above themselves.

Fantastic second half performance!

A lot of posts before 4pm that have aged too badly to merit being quoted. Even the Stoke messageboard was less positive that they’d hold on to win. Indeed quite a lot expected them to concede an equaliser and fall apart. Almost all of them saying how dire and unadventurous MON is as a manager.

Onwards and upwards!

I am. Statistically, the way we play at the back, that sort of thing is likely to happen once in a while. Played well otherwise, with one match saving save, although not a great deal to do otherwise.
How often is “once in a while” exactly?
He’s got to stop doing it, a professional player should not be attempting that pass in the first 30 seconds of a match.

What was that Toney goal celebration? Running over to the bench then turning?

What a recovery! At half time, I was down in the dumps after such a lifeless display from us. Then it all changed and we completely bossed the second half. Both Mbeumo and Ghoddos looked revitalised and Jensen coming on added a cool calmness. Vitaly Janelt? What can you say? Ice cool, hard as nails and a great shot on him too. Terrific goal and great timing. After that, we looked as if we could score a couple more.

Strange: During the first half, when we were pretty poor, I had no nerves at all. They only set in when we equalised and were out of control when we scored. God knows what my pulse was like after that. Anyway, pleased to say that I’m still here. However, I’ve written a note to Mrs Jd to tell her that if I peg out after another performance like that, she’s to contact the club and ask for compensation!

Bryan and Ghoddos best halves of football for ages. I think TF put fireworks up their backsides. Credit to Thomas for a a marvellous second half
Yes there must have been a few players with sore bums after the rocket TF gave them at half time. That said is TF a rocket man?
