Disappointing Said doesn’t start.

just to add - here’s a new contract Mr Raya. Back to the bench you go 😂

Thompson for Henry the only change from the side that started at Millwall.

No problem with that line up. Rico’s injury hopefully will be ok after the International Break

I mean it's clear he's saying to Daniels that he's done well and is being rewarded with a run in the side for now, it's important back up players know that if they come in and do well they'll get more chances. I expect the international break will be used as a reset and Raya returns then.

True. Daniels has done nothing wrong. But we know who the number 1 is. So why wait.

Curse of the hammy. Let's hope you are right. Rico is an outstanding outlet for our attacking play.

Becasue we really don't want a situation where fringe players don't feel like they can break into the side. It's about squad management. People (not saying you here btw, just the general reaction I've seen to the team) need to calm the f*** down though. Getting worked up over who the starting 11 is when there's reasonable explanations as to why some players are not starting right now.

Does Sergi deserve to be dropped?
This is what I just don't understand about football.

If we signed Messi do we say "does Sergi deserve to be dropped?"

No, instead we have to wait for an almighty cock-up in order to play our strongest winger.

Same goes for the goalkeeping position.

Drives me mad!

Its a good line up and a strong bench. Would love to be winning and to repace our front three so that we can run PNE ragged with fresh legs.

Glad that Daniels has kept the jersey amd that he either has to lose his spot or Raya has to win it back.

Hopefully yesterday's signing will put a rocket up Marcondes' and Jensen's backsides ie they need to consistently perform at 8/10 rather than 6/7. Fine with Canos starting.

Clear message that don't let us down and you keep the shirt. I concur, good luck to Dom Thompson first league start for a while.

But Sergi isn't Messi or I'd agree. Surely the issue is fitness. Can Said do the full Monty pressing game after one appearance.? He will come on at some stage.Re Daniels he's safe hands. Raya did some great stuff vs Fulham but was he safe for 90 mins?

Loving the squad depth, last season the first 11 pretty much picked itself. Now the bench is full of players you'd happily see start.

Raya offers so much more than Daniels in terms of our attacking play. We missed him against Milwall.

SB appearance in cup game, was to keep him in the shop window, whilst not risking him against a "brutal" side.
He wasn't particularly convincing, in the post match interview, when he replied, with a strained expression, " I'm happy here"!
He will come on as a sub, if things are going badly.
Canos needs games and he, at least, tries to run at the opposition with the ball, instead if farting around with side and back, short passes (EM?).
Daniels, fully deserves his place today; well done Frank; Raya showed a bit too much loco stuff in the last game.

Almighty cock-up, goalkeeping position? Have you thought this through? One worldy Thursday night I'll grant you. But also not one but two, almighty cock-ups that could have cost us dearly against the team where an almighty cock-up cost us dearly in one of his last appearances. The least likely to make an almighty cock-up, and our best backstop is in goal today in my opinion.

Some of our 'fans' think Frank should be sacked.....
no one has said that for about a year.......keep up at the back eh instead of pedalling fake news........a lot of people have said that tf constantly makes mistakes with team selections, and thats a lot different to what youre saying

im happy daniels is still first choice (for the time being anyway).....its his position to lose and no doubt one bad game will see raya back in which is how it should work with 2 decent keepers.......keeps em both on their toes and means neither can just assume its their position

You can't always play your strongest team all the time. Sometimes they're just not at the right levels fitness/form wise. We saw that at the death last season. We need to use the squad if we want to go up.. Pretty sure Ghoddos, Jensen and maybe Said will come on at some point.

Raya maybe not fit enough to start two games in a week.. Benrahma made his first start in a while and his subject to transfer speculation... i can understand the line up
