Still on a high and probably will be all summer. Yesterday was simply magical in so many ways and probably passed Peterborough away now as the best day supporting the Bees. My first game since Wednesday at home last season and oh my days have missed that feeling of waking up and going to a game. I love the play offs :sneakoff: but the hurt of the last 9 times made it all special yesterday. Norwich and Watford may have taken the autos but we got promoted in front of our own fans. Hopefully the alcohol can get out of my system before our first Premier League game in August.

This should put paid to all the speculative, vulture articles about the players being sold in the media.. off you toddle.

I just have to get this off my chest.

For me, the most beautiful and heart warming moment of yesterday’s game was the Championship’s worst cheat Ayew blatantly looking for a penalty in our box, but being unable to concoct anything (although he did still fall down) only for Brentford to break, we leg it up the pitch, and Emiliano scores with a shot worthy of the globally-televised live TV violation of Swansea City F.C.

Peak karma.

Right at the end of the game we got a throw in, that c*** Roberts picked the ball up but didn’t give to Mbeumo he just chucked it on the floor and then complained to the ref about time wasting, oh the irony. Again Roberts was up to his usual tactics he is just one I really can’t stand, cheating c***

Yep i loathe the guy - he got Marcondes booked yesterday too, drama queen reaction of course.

I haven't wanted to say until it was safe, too, but i do not rate Woodman at all. He's had some bad moments against us, and thanks Freddy for the early pen yesterday, much appreciated!

Where is he on loan from? He looked slightly dodgy at times have to say including leaving whole goal for Toney to pass into towards end only for Bidwell to intervene

He’s on loan from Newcastle. And he has no chance of replacing Darlow or Dubravka next season

Due to work I was away with no Internet and no way of watching the game, or knowing the result. Briefly got hotspoted just before half time to see we were 2-0 up, Internet cuts out just before half time! It wasn't until 4 hours later I was then able to confirm that we had infact, f***ing done it, we'd won. Being a pessimistic bastard I'd convinced myself that Swansea would definitely have scored at least three!

Jealus of everyone and the celebrations, they looked incredible. Has anyone got a good place to start with regards to reactions, fan views of the goals etc?

Dont now how this guy got the Golden Gloves Award for the Championship . Think he only got it because of Swansea’s defensive record this season.

Until watching quest today I didn't realise swansea players all went back into the dressing rooms before the presentation and the commentator said he'd never seen it before

That’s how GKs get the Golden Glove award!! Most clean sheets I believe. (?)

Congratulations to you, this has been thoroughly deserved for your club.

Enjoy the ride, and being able to see your team on Match of The Day on Saturday night.

I really get the feeling you are going to make Newcastle fans regret their team selling Ivan Toney!

I wrote a post on Facebook yesterday about our promotion, and got a bit emotional, especially writing the bit about my son (13) who’s supported Bees all his life and has stuck with them in the face of adversity, including from his mates taking the p!ss and asking who Brentford are and why he doesn’t support Chelsea or Man City. It’s times like this that are sweet 🥰

Just an amazing day, it couldn't have gone much better. When you've been through the lows that we have been over the years and all the heartaches we've suffered, it makes days like yesterday mean so much more.

25+ years of supporting this club, at school people would laugh when I said who I supported, "yeah but who do you really support", "why don't you support a proper team", "what would you know about football, you support Brentford". These type of comments I've had to live with, my work colleagues still laugh when I tell them I've taken the afternoon off to go to an away game in some northernly town they've never heard of. You wouldn't understand I always think to myself. Of course I've questioned myself over the years, the long journeys home after a heavy defeat, the expensive ticket prices, those cold Saturday mornings stood at a train station at some stupidly early time of the morning, or sat in some grim northern pub in the middle of nowhere thinking what am I doing here? But we do it because we love it and days like yesterday make it so worthwhile.

Seeing the new stadium last week and struggling to believe it is really ours and this is our future, and now we're in the Premier league, it is hard to believe. Being there yesterday with my Dad and seeing him in tears at the final whistle was the most special part. "When I started going over 30 years ago I never thought I'd see us in the Premier League" he said. What a day, what a club.

Exactly the same. I even remember a teacher coming into our class once to take the piss out of me in front of everyone. And he was a Grimsby fan!

I have only seen it once elsewhere on the GPG, and i am surprised that more has not been made of it, that it was a pathetic Ayew dive in our box that led to the second goal. If the cheating lump had tried to stay on his feet for once who knows what would have happened. As someone else said, that is some serious karma.

It's great having your own (internet) radio show. I have planned a start for next Friday: The Power Game, Celebration (Kool & The Gang), 2 Nil Down In the Second Half (Robb Johnson), Up Up Up (Givers), Knees Up Mother Brown (Mrs Mills) and Perfect Day. Further suggestions welcomed.

the only small imperfection on Saturday was the lack of

we are the champions by Queen. I am sure every play off final we have lost that was blasting out.

Will play it, my thoughts were that we aren't though. I did consider it but as somebody else has suggested it I can safely play it.
Thanks TB

So it is Monday Morning and it has just hit me! (TIN POT ?? ) BRENTFORD ARE IN THE TOP FOOTBALL LEAGUE IN EUROPE !

THE FIRST MATCH I WENT TO WAS IN MARCH 1963 AGAINST LINCOLN CITY.
EVEN AT THAT TIME THE THOUGHT OF BEING IN THE TOP LEAGUE NEVER CROSSED MY MIND.
IT WAS JUST MY LOCAL TEAM (HAVING BEEN BORN IN ISLEWORTH).
I FOLLOWED THEM AS A FAN AND FOR A TIME WAS ON THE SUPPORTER'S COMMITTEE.
IT WAS PART OF MY DNA AND JUST LIKE MANY OTHERS OF MY GENERATION, THE THOUGHT OF MY LOCAL TEAM REACHING THE PINICLE...........WELL IT WAS JUST A PIPE DREAM.

YET THEY ONLY BLOODY WELL WENT AND DID IT AND NO ONE CAN NOW TAKE IT AWAY FROM US IN THE BRENTFORD FC FAMILY.

WELL DONE YOU BRENTFORD WARRIORS!

COME ON YOU BEES!!!

I’m still in shock and a daze - albeit a happy and smiley one.

After being there for every one of past play off (last year excepted) and FRT / JPT cup losses, I was left wondering if it would ever be our time.

So amazing to be there to see it and experience it with my Dad who just missed out on seeing us in the top flight all those years ago.

Many many thanks to the players, the team behind the scenes, and of course Matthew Benham for making it happen.

The strength of purpose and character to come back after last season, our early spring wobble after hitting top spot and 0-2 down in the semi-final is truly admirable.

Very proud 😀😀

You also have to give the ref some credit for not falling for it.

Not 100% sure but it would not surprise me that Copper did’t go to the Fourth Offical complaining. The bench’s were right below us and Cooper made a number of visits to the Fourth Offical complaining about this and that

One of the coaches was proper finger pointing in Kavanagh's face at the final whistle.

If I was coaching a team who’d had a massive ZERO shots on target in the Championship play off final, pointing my finger in the referees face at full time would be the last thing I’d want to do.

What I found surprising in that incident was that even the Swansea fans didn’t appeal. I hope they just thought “OMG I can’t believe that diving c*nt Ayew can be THAT freakin’ blatant in his cheating”.

They probably added “boyo” to the end of that statement, BTW.

Tried to watch the whole game today but found myself getting the hump with swansea’s appalling tackles going unpunished. Should have been one red and 5-6 yellows by half time.

Didn’t have the common decency to stay for the award ceremony either.

I am looking forward to them going even further into the sh*t next season.

Is it possible that this thread could be "auctioned off", a bit like they've done with the "Charlie bit my finger" YouTube video??!! 😁😁

Might have been different if it had been at the other end. From my vantage point I didn't even appeal for our penalty!
