Toney, Marcondes and, to a lesser extent, JDS (because it was more expected) on the bench is a real bonus!

Has Emiliano now officially changed his name from Marcondes? Bidstrup could be some player to seemingly by pass the B team after such a long layoff. COYB

433 again, is it impossible to try something different for a change. Lets see how it plans out. Better than Saturday.

Much better than expected. Can the doom-monger bed wetters on here please now shut up.

* pity half the bench are officially injured and will therefore presumably only be brought on in an emergency, But very happy with what we have.

Like who exactly lol Pinnock is not a fullback whereas Mads played there as a kid and knows the position
Have you not been reading this forum, loads have suggested it, a lot saying MBS not suited there.

Bidstrup must really impress in training. Fingers crossed he is as good as the club obviously thinks he will be

I don't think MBS is a long term solution at LB but we should be alright for this game against one of the weaker Championship attacks. Interested to see how the front 3 works. COYR!

MBS much more suited to left back and Pinnock much stronger at LCB so a no brainier for me. Looks stronger and more experienced, with more leaders than Saturday 👍🏻

Norgaard and Forss back on sat and we will be stronger still. Have a feeling the new front 3 will click tonight. Very interesting...

Glass half full, could these enforced changes actually freshen things up and add a bit of much needed "Dunkirk spirit*" after the 3 losses? Will be an interesting watch, can't see poor MBS venturing too far up the pitch 😋

*Janelt may disagree...

Given tonights team plus injuries 4 points would be a great return - bit of luck Forss and Norgaard in squad for Stoke
Forss will be out for longer given concussion protocols, surely?

In theory a different formation would be worth a try. In practice, you can't expect a team that has been coached at First and B Team level for years to be very good at a completely different formation after 2-3 training sessions. At our best, the players move according to planned tactics so their team mates know where there ought to be someone to pass to without having to look up. Doing something new would be like when we watch Said at WHU trying to work out his defensive positioning. He's had half a season to do it and is working hard at it, but it doesn't look natural and it doesn't look anything like the peak performances he can give playing a freer, more purely attacking role. Even with 433 we're going to see Bryan having to think like a central striker and MBS adjust to LB. That'll be hard for both of them, but in roles just one along from their usual and where they know from their normal position what the CF and LB would be expected to be doing in our set up. I expect neither of them to do it brilliantly tonight. Having four or five players in that situation would be risky.

To me , about the best we could have hoped for
back four as a lot expected
midfield best he could select
up front best he could select for me it’s Mbeano as main striker

Subs will be interesting as to who and when ,re bench I can only see Toney Dasilva and Marcondes getting on if we are in the sh1te .

It's a two month solution in all likelihood. Bryan's in the last chance saloon for me, he must start producing.
