Agree with all this. Thought we lost our shape and balance when Rico went off (I can understand why TF did it though) and sending Goode up too was just a waste of time. We completely lost our shape then.
Disappointed yes more so I didn’t think Norwich were all that and we gifted them three points. Thought their fans were good mind you singing throughout. The atmosphere was again poor and even Hey Jude at the start of the game was a let down.
Because it started at the chorus unexpectedly, presumably to fit in the Last Post?
Very poor first half, better second. But lacking in pace and quality in the last 20 minutes and even if there had been 10 minutes of additional time, I doubt it would have mattered. It's also worrying if we have one fully fit centre half out of six.
On the crowd, it seemed lively for most of the second half. It's difficult to get an atmosphere when you concede early though. More worrying was the number of empty seats.
It looked like a tactical sub, although I'm not sure why, as has been said it seemed like it took the wind out of our sails and predictable in the last 20.

Ps my biggest gripe the two people sitting next to me in the East Stand didn’t even get up when we scored.
Answer to the first problem, perhaps, but as we saw, there isn't much of a second option (presuming Goode was up front because he was injured)

We need to stop the long balls forward. It's OK as an occasional option especially against a side with a high press but the last 15 minutes that was our only plan.
We didn't get to the Premier league playing like that and we have too many good, technical footballers for that to be our only option.

Hope so but it looked like he wasn’t up to pace so I’m guessing he’s not 100pc yet. We were also disrupted earlier on in the 1st half with an early substitution through injury. It didn’t help, and it adds to our problems, these injuries.
Second time I've sat in the East stand and it's like a different world compared to the West. A few lads around me in their 20s and 30s who literally showed zero emotion throughout... Bizarre.

I sit in the north stand front row on the half way line, I have to say at times I felt like I'm the only one getting involved, singing etc. Yes we were poor in the first half but we need to get behind the team. Anyway the lads will turn this around let's be honest it's not the first blip in a season we've had, most teams will go through the same. You Bees

Very poor. Awful first half. Crowd flat not helped by a disjointed start to Hey Jude. Stupid foul by Toney. Another goal gifted outside the box.

I'm on the back row of the West Stand W235. One of the regulars wasn't there and his seat was taken by an old lady who must've been in her 70's.
She really didn't look like she was enjoying the experience of standing, singing and swearing. She didn't come back after half time.
I think the club should put some warnings on the ticket exchange for people buying in the West.

Was great against Liverpool, ok against Brighton but been piss poor when we played Leicester and today. One can tell a lot are really new supporters in this stand.

Why did we repeat Leicester mistake. Just leave Rico back when all else are forward. Equally why did we keep getting caught with nobody up front to fight for clearances?

What with the injury list and our lack of creativity l suppose the outlook isn't good. Despite a lot of industrial pressure in the second half we didn't work their keeper. IMO we need to bring in an upgrade in quality in January. Just hoping that Vitali isn't injured and Zanka is ok.

100% agree. We went more direct last season when we signed Toney but have taken it to another level now and seem to have abandoned any intention to play decent football.

2nd half we applied some pressure and deservedly got 1 back but then seemed to revert back to type again. Injuries piling up which obviously doesn’t help and is causing major headaches but I felt taking Henry off wasn’t the right decision (unless injured) as Goode or Jensen should have gone off. In the last 2 games Jensen has been shown to not be up to the task of starting (in my opinion) and is best suited to coming off the bench at about 60mons when holes open up. I would started with a tough tackling and more defensive Norgaard/Frank the tank and Vitaly in the middle but hey what do I know.
We have 2 weeks now to dust ourselves down, regroup and go again. Hopefully Lady Luck will shine on us and a couple of the injuries will clear up so we can get more bodies back (as we need them).

Why were Roerslev and Fosu not even on the bench? Whatever their shortcomings - not many, in my view - they appear at least to be fully fit and presumably fresh. I think Fosu would have brought something to the midfield, and Roerslev playing at right wing-back would have freed up Canos for attacking duties. Are they injured?
I'm loth to criticise squad players, and it may be that they're not getting the service they require from midfield, but I'm beginning to think that Toney and Mbeumo owe us a goal or two.

Only two goals this season have really upset me, the 2nd against Burnley which was a complete mixup amongst 3 of our guys, and today’s 1st which was just appalling defending (From the moment the ball was not put into touch, allowingNorwich to regain possession).

We can’t cut a break at the moment. Every shot against us goes in and we seem to hit the post, see worldies, goal line clearances and blocks and can’t earn a free kick to save our lives and our players are dropping like flies.
Rules ar mede to stop cheating but the sh*thousing has dominated the last 4 home defeats and not one yellow for persistent time wasting in 4 games,
We will be fine but we need to get smarter and get some luck soon,

Impossible to predict our results. We seem to play better when expectation is low. Just watched highlights. We need to get better at defending the edge of our box. Alot of the goals we have conceded have come from shots from more or less the same area. No complaints about the penalty although it was never a pen from my seat in the East Stand. I was hoping for a VAR reprieve. Either way we should not be conceding one on one opportunities at this level.

Who cares about the fan noise? It’s down to the players.

Our squad is paper thin and a number of players look off it/ lost confidence/ just don’t look fit.

It was indeed too easy, though there looked to me to be an offisde on the wide left quite early in the move (I didn't celebrate Bryan's disallowed goal as he looked offside to me too!). Presumably checked by VAR?
On the penalty, assuming it was a foul, not sure why Goode didn't get a red as that had to be a clear goalscoring opportunity. Norwich also had a clear plan for someone to drop to the ground whenever the ball went in the box too. I know everyone does it, but the only way to stop it is to have a rule that an injury stoppage = a minimum of two minutes added, or to stop the clock. That would be difficult for TV so unlikely to ever happen.
Trying to be positive, Bryan looked fully fit and Ghoddos played OK when he came on.

There was no atmosphere.
Only the fact that everyone moved at half time and left at the end convinced me the north stand wasn’t populated with cardboard cutouts.

actually, i think the PL is at its hardest when the impetus is on a side to go out and dominate and win, as today showed. Weve struggled to do that even when we’ve been the better side v Brighton and Leicester.
i think you’ll be ok if you can get the griffin park atmosphere going again, that feel of every home game being like a cup tie (which it’s felt like on my previous visits).

The first goal today for me was a result of a poor clearance from Toney who then wasn't alert to the player who ghosted past him and a gap was left as he seemed to switch off. May be seen as harsh but that is my take on it
