That's very true Boston - although I hope (and actually think) we'll be in the Top Tier for several seasons - and more than the six we achieved last time. But everyone is buzzing still after our fantastic achievement. Time to throw off the shackles of despondency and celebrate/enjoy the moment.

Fancy branding the Brentford management arrogant (they weren't the only ones tbf though I don't agree with that assessment myself) and then saying things like "We are back in the big-time, the top-flight is where this beautiful assortment of grace and tradition belongs and it became clear at Wembley that the Bees are not within our esteemed bracket and they never will be, regardless of where their future lies"
Literally relegated with the same manager a year earlier and yet banging on like it was a homecoming of the PL's favourite sons.
We might be kidding ourselves if we think the Bees will master the PL from the word go in a way that neutrals won't expect - but you'd think they might have remembered having their fingers burned so recently.

What have Fulham *ever* offered the Premier League? They were always just a club to be the opposition to the bigger ones. Back in the noughties I always just found their games boring. Didn't matter who they were playing, if Fulham was the opposition the game became uninteresting.
They had that very good year in Europe, they absolutely deserve credit for that. But do Premier League teams miss them when they're gone? Or even remember them.

I hate Fulham, but lets be fair we have a massive job on our hands to stay in the prem. no good taking the piss out of any team. But bfc will scare the sh*t out of our visitors. Bournemouth proved to me that we can do this.

I have a close mate who supports Fulham unfortunately. He’s very fickle & I find it funny when he tries to mock us about a result in the PREMIERSHIP! Fulham think they’re all high n mighty in the championship with a heavily expensive squad. It’s more expensive than us & few other prem teams

The embarrassment that is Fulham’s appalling away support sinks to a new low. They’ve scored 19 goals in their last 3 games and are top of the league, yet they have only sold 800 tickets for Stoke away tomorrow. That is just so…., well, just so Fulham.

I have to say that's very poor, especially as their top of the league.
Ps. I knew we took more than that for the league Cup game at Stoke. Have a good evening
I went to Fulham v Bristol City last Saturday, sat (stood) in the away end of course. Bristol City scored their only two chances of the first half and then totally lost their minds for 20 minutes, every cross led to a header which led to a goal, and 1-2 became 5-2 at half time. Hard to be cynical about a team that scored six but it wasn't a particularly good game or a particularly one sided drubbing to be honest, they just took advantage for a 25 min period and the game was dead by half time. The fifth and sixth goals particularly good finishes though.
New stand looks impressive. It was already at maximum volume with those plastic wrappers rustling in the breeze of course.

Welcome along.
1. All football fans tend to hate other local rivals, particularly those that play in the same division often.
2. We have never had a rivalry with Chelsea and we didn't play QPR at all between 1966 and 2000ish. Fulham were the local team we played in the 80s and 90s so it's a particular rivalry for those aged 40-55 I'd suggest.
3. Nothing winds football fans up more than teams that buy success, or those with plastic fans. Fulham are thought of as the dictionary definition of both, climbing from the foot of the football league in the 90s to the Premier League with Mohammed Al Fayed's money when we were suffering in the lower leagues and they tasted the big time well before we could even sniff it.
4. There's some tongue-in-cheek reverse snobbery around their perceived "posh" fans too, so spot the references to Tarquins and people who bring sponge cake to a football match.
5. We have both been good teams in the second tier, or better, in recent years which will have reinvigorated the rivalry. We had a pretty great record against them throughout our time in the second tier (2014-2021) but we blew the one that really mattered . Luckily they blew their last trip to the Premier League much worse than even we blew Wembley 2020, relegated by a mile in a season of empty stadiums, and we are now above them.
Others can add much more but hope that helps.

We also beat them 4 v 0 in 1992 whilst on our way to winning the third tier of English football (to go up to the diversion that is now the Championship). There was also an infamous game in the Leyland Daf Cup with some crowd trouble.

If you want to know about local hate and rivalries you can forget Fulham straight away. It's only the younger generation of our fans that seem to hate Fulham, still can't quite work out why... No our hated rivals are Queens Park rangers.. Why?.. Well they actually tried to put us out of business by taking us over in the 1960s.There are still many fans still around that will remember this. I hate qpr with a passion and even now look for their result every week hoping they have lost. If you are interested just Google qpr Brentford proposed takeover.. Bastards
