Flick from the gods by Jensen to put Toney through. Sublime.

There was no attempt to play the ball though...it was purely an attempt to stop the man. I do actually think that was a red, even if it wouldn't have even been a booking in the middle of the pitch.

The player was already on a yellow though, so he was walking either way.

I am violently in love with Ivan Toney.

I’m going to say it now. He’s our best striker. Ever.

HT 1-1 - we are in total control now. Need to keep the pressure up, we should score.

Surely that should have been a yellow not a red card under the rules as we got a penalty? On the other hand, it was definitely a yellow and he'd already been booked, so it doesn't make a huge difference.

Dreadful start. No-one really at it from the back four all the way up through the centre. Canos looked lively but we couldn't keep hold of the ball. Blackburn player waltzed through midfield and defence to score and we looked gone. Finally started to pick up the pace a bit and lo and behold we cause them problems. Lovely ball from Janelt, beautiful touch from Jensen and clear pen and red. After that it's one way traffic. Janelt, DaSilva and Jensen who'd looked so tentative beforehand are pinging the ball about and creating chance after chance. Canos is on fire.. Forss though still looks a little lost. Wonder whether this is the game to give Ghoddos some time? With a bit more space and time he could be lethal...

1-1 at HT. Red card has relieved the pressure as Rovers were playing some nice stuff.. I don't think its a red ..pen and yellow imo.. Langford will defo try and even this up

Seems as if he did previously get a yellow but I didn't see the ref pull out a 2nd yellow

14 for Ivan now. I've never really considered penalties as legitimate goals on a player's tally, but with him I do because they are proper art aren't they? I must admit I didn't like it when I saw him do it the first time. But I get it now. ;) Great to see Canos having his first good game in a million years. My man of match so far. :)

I agree, it was denial of a golal scoring opportunity, what else can it be?

A great opportunity to get into that mix at the top, no silly tackles.

Think he already achieved that because IMO Forss shouldn't have been booked early on.

True ! I think ref got flustered and knew would have to send him off as second yellow and he forgot to wave the yellow first!

Oh yes.. that’s the half-arsed midfielder isn’t it?
To be fair he'd been well off it with most of the rest of the team, but since they scored he's been superb. Must do better with his set pieces though..

**** me, only on the GPG could there be such a debate that an opponent shouldn’t have got a red card! ‘Ave it, take it, **** ‘em. Now work them over second half and go for goal difference...
