So much hinges on what happens in the first half.
We get the first goal and it'll be mayhem, open, and high-scoring.
If Bournemouth keep it tight for long enough, and they could get one in the break and put it out of sight.

So, I think we'll get the first goal in the first half and I think we'll win 3-2 and it'll go to extra time and penalties.
I fear us being wasteful and Bournemouth being resolute, and us losing 1-0.

What is with some of the doom and gloom merchants on here. We will win this. We have to, we're due a play off win at some time before I'm too old to appreciate it!
No doom or gloom from me. I've simply removed my shoes and socks, gone for a paddle in lake real and given an honest prediction. I can understand the youngsters racing for tickets, but I was at Tranmere in 1991. I know how it ends and I'm not even interested in watching this ritual of humiliation on the telly. It doesn't bother me. I won't allow it to hurt me any more. We have had yet another great season - probably the best yet and I'm very proud of the club. Thoroughly looking forward to next season. Just wish this sh*te was done and dusted. :sorted:

And....... On Monday 25th October 1976, I stood outside the Braemar Road entrance in the p****** rain, an hour before kick off, waiting for the gates to open. I liked to be first in to make a dash for Dick Harrison's old programme stall. When they did open, there was no one else around. I can't be certain about the other three sides of the ground, but I'm fairly confident I was the first in that night as Braemar Road tended to open first. I witnessed a glorious 5-0 victory against Workington. If memory serves, I was the first through the gate for our lowest ever league crowd (to date) that night. Not looking for a medal, just mentioning it before anyone questions my support. ;) Funny how things stick in the mind, but I clearly remember Dennis Piggott passing the time of day with somebody in the forecourt, joking about how he was expecting 6,000 that night.

2-1 to us , on the night, after 90 minutes. No goals in extra time, so it goes to penalties. Our starting five are Ivan, Marcus, Vitaly, Christian and Ethan. David plays a blinder and we go through to the final.

Must be nice to be Blackpool in these situations, 7 finals and 5 victories so far and already 3.0 up from the first leg and on their way to an 8th final. Fans allowed in for the second leg must be in such a happy place right now. OK, so they have had a few relegations on the way and those awful owners but 7 finals, 5 wins and another on the way is surely worth the misery.

Dont like predicting, but with @Doovster on this, 4500 buzzing fans, will see us through, Sergi plays to a crowd, just hope he calms down a bit and smashes 2 goals in.

Fans will certainly play a huge part. Remember a game back in the day against Blackburn (must be late 1980s) we beat them 4-3 in the old league cup. Must have only been around 3k in the crowd but the atmosphere was amazing. Fans won that game. I still believe if we had fans against Barnsley last game of last season we would have won that game and Watkins air shot would have been placed in the bottom hand corner of the goal.

Yep!...It's the 4500 'buzzing' fans that hold the key!......GAWPERS will be refused entry!.....IF we create an atmosphere ala M.A.'s era, we'll piss it!!!
(We're TEN points better than them anyway)..... So, 3 - 0 Bees, but the result is definitely dependant on the 'fans' ...... so, L E T ' S H E A R Y A !!! :bounce: :bounce:

And maybe if we weren't at the Doncaster game Trotta's penalty might have gone in.

Don’t fancy anyone’s chances of snatching the ball off Ivan for a last minute pen regardless of the crowd.

We score after 15 minutes, Bournemouth level after 25 minutes. Prior to the break we score again. Second half ebbing and flowing both ways, until we go 3-1 ahead with 10 minutes remaing. That 10 minutes turns into 18 minutes with time added on and somehow withstand enormous pressure with the woodwork being struck several times and at least two goal line clearences. Well I can dream, can't I. Seriously it will be close and I fear a 1-1 draw to end the dream.

My son dreamt last night we’d score in the 37th minute, Bournemouth equalise in the 50th and that’s it. So half an hour of hope and 40 minutes of it ebbing away.

One thing I know about Blackpool is their fans really come alive when backing the team.... I was at their 2009 win at Wembley over Cardiff to get to the premierleague, absolutely electric. It's the responsibility of the fans on Saturday to really really get behind the team like never before, I don't personally think it's a huge cooincidence Blackpool's Play off record is so good....

Anyway, I think we're going to win on pens for some reason :D
