Then what happened in the final? We were absolutely awful for 120 minutes. Should have had a pen shouldn't disguise what was a really hollow performance following 4 straight wins and Bournemouth's bad run of form. We just don't have the bottle nor the players to get out of the league this way.

Obviously, i don't want that to be the case - just calling it how i see it. The crowd could make a huge difference Saturday. It was noisy with just 2k at the blackburn game...

you didn't mention the final you asked for evidence of turning it around :sorted:

Reid has a scorcher deflected in by Mepham. Reid is injured on 33 minutes and replaced by Pontus who goes on to score a perfect hat trick, assists by Toney, Jensen and Mbeumo. Raya keeps a clean sheet.

How many times have we heard or seen that in our 25 play of games and 4 cup finals? Why are we not at our best when we have gone 9 unbeaten conceding one goal along the way and they have lost 3 on the spin?

Yep we all know the history and the litany of pain and suffering and I have no answer as to why we have seen a history of endemic failure. It has to change sometime so why not Saturday  . As a certain Mr Allen used to say "PMA".....

Kin 'el......there are some right miseries on here at the moment...........any chance of being just a little bit optimistic?
I blame @Voice from the Braemar .......keep putting up stupid prediction threads!!!!!!

Just hope all those who predict us loosing have given their tickets to the more vocal and optimistic supporters.
Get behind the lads......."lets fekin 'ave it"!!..........YOU BEES!!

We turned it around last year 🤣

we were unlucky , i watched the game sober Tuesday and we should have had a pen and a draw would have been a fair result
I agree with you that we should have had the draw. Very finely balanced. Bryan should have equalised. But a pen? I'm not sure even VAR would have given that. Wide out to the side of goal. The ball had already gone when the defenders foot hit Fosu's. Absolutely no intent. No pen for me except with my most partisan hat on. Bryan should have equalised with his better left foot, or even his not so good left foot!

I'm Mr Blue I have to say. However I have three bottles of Champers to open if we win. My view is that if we get through this game we will go up, a big if I am afraid.

As I mentioned on the night, ref. the penalty.
Go back and look at the one given against us v Coventry, for Rico's mistimed challenge......exactly the same.

Rico's was much more clear and obvious. I'm afraid to say that posters thinking that it was a definite penalty on Fosu are clutching.

We'll agree to disagree......
In both cases the defender started his challenge, the forward nicked the ball away, the defender continued his challenge.......and kicked the player not the ball......
How did you see it?

That's fine. I just remember clearly Rico kicking the player after he knicked the ball round him. I saw Fosu jumping for the ball, was out of control himself and got kicked in the challenge. I dont know if that makes a difference but one to me is far more obvious than the other.
More than that though, I just dont want to be clinging to refereeing decisons when we don't win, we have to take more responsibility and not play the unlucky card.

As one wasn’t given and the one which was given ended up making no difference as even if we’d beaten Coventry we’d have finished third it’s academic anyway.

This is going to be very tight
Waiting til kick off tomorrow feels like a long way away right now. But a mix of anxiety and confidence if we play the very best we can I believe we can win this and qualify for the final.

Bees to win 3-0,Toney,Canos and Mbuemo.

In the stadium tomorrow on behalf of everyone who couldn’t make it, tried and got denied you have to sing your hearts out for the team.

f*** the predictions, its down to each and everyone of us that is there tomorrow to scare the living sh*t out of Bournemouth. No good saying they are going to beat us. We and the team need to give it everything tomorrow. It’s now or never all of you that are there please do not sit there with a closed mouth, whatever happens we need to make sure that we were the twelve man. No fear, we know that we are good enough.

We score after 15 minutes, Bournemouth level after 25 minutes. Prior to the break we score again. Second half ebbing and flowing both ways, until we go 3-1 ahead with 10 minutes remaing. That 10 minutes turns into 18 minutes with time added on and somehow withstand enormous pressure with the woodwork being struck several times and at least two goal line clearences. Well I can dream, can't I. Seriously it will be close and I fear a 1-1 draw to end the dream.
Need to realise that we are as good if not better than most teams.

2-0 to us, but I’ll settle for 3-0! 😂🐝

We score within the first 20 minutes, then it’s a long hour until the last 10 minutes, when we score again.
Mayhem and relief at the new stadium, as we haven’t been able to breathe for that hour!

The match ends exactly at 2.30pm, after 7 minutes after added time! More mayhem!

Afraid to predict 1-0 Bournemouth. One of ours red carded 1st half.

Cant predict the score, cant predict the team. Game starts at 7.30pm for me and cant watch in a bar as I worry I will be an idiot if we win or if we lose. So will have a few in the afternoon and sit and suffer, watching at home with my best mate here who is a big Notts County fan (he gets it the whole thing). I Cant even go out if we win as curfew at 10pm. To all the Bees who will be in attendance, give it everything, even if we go a goal down.

I'm thinking of gloriously mental Normandy Rearguard.
TF picks the right team. 4000 give it heart and soul. Anything less than that would disappoint, never mind the result.

Good luck to Thomas, all the players and the 4000 fans roaring us on. I've been thinking whilst I love LR, this is the kind of occasion I'd love GP for. For all the progress it brings; LR is "nice". The surroundings are large, away changing room maybe the best in the English game, more vocal fans well away from the dug out and a good distance between pitch and stands. I don't think LR will hold the same benefits an old GP would have done, but we needed a modern stadium, and it can also inspire our guys.

The morning of the game is the time to hold back any negative predictions and just say good luck; I don't think we're favourites but there are many teams lying on the beach who'd love to be in our position this morning; give it everything and see what happens. 3-3 in the Blackpool game last night shows PO's can unearth strange games/results and pressure can also do strange things.

Enjoy the day Bees

3- 1Bees but we must score early! Not sure how long we’ll stay up but it’ll be a great experience.

Hope that Bournemouth park the bus at Griffin Park, wonder why no one has turned up, and go home again, thereby conceding the match to us!😊

We’re the underdogs in the betting!

5/4 for us to qualify, whereas they are 4/7.

So that’s really good. We are at our best as the unfancied team.

I really think Bournemouth will get caught nervously between trying to hold on to their 1 goal, and afraid to push forward too much, so the first 20 minutes are so important for us to score
