Before the cup another uplifting game where we push up and get a couple of big ones. Sergi to nip one and Toney to chest one before slipping it in.

BC seem to be stuttering a bit at the moment although they have some dangerous forwards. Never understood why they, as a club, seem to under achieve when they have the infrastructure to succeed. Still, no concern of mine and provided we produce a professional performance we should win this comfortably. 1-0 (Toney) although nothing like as close as that scoreline suggests.

Be interesting how TF sets the team up for this and the Spurs game, I'm sure he'll want to win both, so how many will get rested for Brizzle?

City do not have a good defensive record, but nothing to be taken for granted.

Our Beast of a team will be humble in their respect for their competitors, but assured in their delivery of positive football to get a great result.

2-0 with Toney back to scoring, and one other player who rarely scores!

I’m just hoping the game actually happens, given that the official club Facebook page is saying that the game kicks off at 7.45pm.....

That is all.

They only have our cast off goalkeeper and he always prone to the big error

They underachieve because they’ve appointed very limited managers (Johnson pere et fils) who don’t really fit the broader approach they’ve done pretty well with in terms of recruitment.

2-1 win and the New Year gets off to a great start for the Bees and all the fans. Wishing you all a very happy new year, a very successful won for the Bees and to filling the seats at our new GP, once it's safe, and after not too long.

Always nervous when we’ve been unbeaten for so long, thinking ‘it has to end soon’ but we really should beat a Bristol side that are in poor form and riddled with injuries.

Will sit on the fence and say 1-1.

City score first with against the run of play in a game that would then usually end with a frustrating and underserved deafest. However, this brentford team can scrap and score goals, even without being scintillating, to win points and that’s what happens with a late Marcus Forss equaliser.

I’m concerned about this one. It’s a game we should win but with all the games we have played recently and particularly the sterling effort against Bournemouth only three days prior, something’s got to give.
2-0 them

No easy games in this league. However, City are going through a rough patch and in theory it is the easiest game of our Christmas/ New Year fixutures. So no slip ups Bees and win something like 2-0.

They seem to have a lot of injuries at the moment. Should be reasonably comfortable 2-0. Toney with a brace.

Every Tom, Dick and Harry knows about Brentwood now. Well and truly above the radar. I don't like it. Next thing you know we will have thousands of supporters from Manchester following us.

According to Bristol City's Twitter the game is off because they have had a Covid outbreak.

Bristol City‘s Sky Bet Championship match at Brentford tomorrow has been postponed (January 2nd, 3pm).
COVID-19 symptoms have today (Friday) become evident within the City squad.
Due to the New Year Bank Holiday closure of the testing laboratory, it has not been possible to arrange the testing of the entire squad and backroom staff ahead of tomorrow’s match at the Brentford Community Stadium.
Following discussions with Brentford and the English Football League the decision has been taken to postpone the game for the safety of players and staff of both clubs.
A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course.

Sorry for them. To be honest whilst we are in the groove a game less to play now will give us enhanced rest before Spurs.

#15 Terrible Twins
You put your post* at #15- see below -in my original post, and then quoted it as if it was from me. Please make sure you separate out your post from anyone else’s quote.
Many thanks.
