Nervous about this one but then I was against Liverpool and West Ham. But we're gonna keep it tight and Ivan is going to win it with a pen in the 86th minute. If that happens up the East end then I'll be in trouble. I wont be able to contain my excitement - I'm in E115 - so having probably had a "bit of an accident" I shall then be trying to escape the Chelski mob with a sharpened pound coin wedged in me right ear'ole. I'm of a certain age and slower on me pins than I was. Better if were 3-0 up and they have left by then.
Only problem with that is we'll be playing, as we always do, towards the West Stand 2nd half.

Tuchel is a far less naive manager than Klopp so it will be a much tougher test than the Liverpool game. But I think we'll be up to the challenge. Win, lose or draw it will be a great occasion. I'm going to enjoy it whatever the result.

This will be a tough game, just like Brighton. 3 at the back is tough for us with 2 up top. I expect us to keep the system though, as if we can pressure that midfield, we have a chance.

This is a game for Jensen, imo.

I can see anything from 1-1 to a 3-2. We’ll score late on, the question is whether we’re still in it by then.

1-1: Wissa again.

Will be in the North Stand for this one - I am (quietly) confident we can get something out of this game. Really pleased to see Norgaard only came on last night in injury time as he will have a big role to play. Grew up with lots of Chelsea mates and still can’t comprehend we are in the same league as them. I believe it will be harder than Liverpool but BCS will be rocking again. Can’t wait for this one.

Toughest game so far. They are so well organised and dont let in many goals.

Im going for a hard fought 0-0. We have to keep our concentration and use the ball better then we did in the 2nd half v West Ham.

All the Chelsea fans I know are very worried, an extremely resilient Brentford team with two of the best CB's, best goalkeeper and two of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League should not be expecting defeat. They are petrified of Toney and BM and they should be.

This will be much closer than some think and I would be delighted with a 0.0 or 1.1.

Just to add, I am more concerned about the challenge of the M4 being closed and every train station within walking distance being closed.

As someone said on another thread, if we are serious about European competition then we need to be beating the likes of Chelsea!

Teams like Chelsea

I am becoming more and more confused. I feel we are due a loss, and if they score early I can see it being our first game that isn’t close. So maybe 1-4.
I have even dropped Bryan & Ethan to my bench in FPL & Ivan is no longer Vice Captain
However Bet365 continue to offer me £5 free bet each weekend there is P/L football, I hardly paused before putting it on us at 13/2.

Sorry if this has been asked already but will this game require us to have a lateral flow test within 48 hours before if I haven’t been jabbed? Or will I get in with no problems?
Cheers

We are going to win, and the reason we are going to win ,is " US " the supporters , imagine your a Bees player, sitting in the dressing room trying to listen to Thomas and Brian's final minutes pep talk before you cross the white line, and all you can hear is " HEY JUDE " bellowing so loud around the four stands , so loud you can't hear a single word they say, it must sound soooo good to them, and with the quality we have in the team , and the players pumped up to the limit, ready to run through walls , we can't lose .. so remember on Satuday around 5.15pm when the players are sat in the dressing room, lets give it everything :sorted: COYB

If both Rudigar and Silva and potentially Lukaku are out we definitely have a chance. Game will be won or lost in midfield this one.

We won’t lose, so long as we keep encouraging the team and singing!

So 2-1 to us with a winner in the last minutes, or 1-1.

Either way, another it’ll be another great match, pushing us to the top of the Match of the Day pecking order.

My first home game I'm missing this season - gutted!

Think we'll lose a humble 1-2 or 0-1.. although not impossible we get something from this.. fingers crossed!

As none of the opposition fans are allowing us to win any games, I predict Chelsea will manage to lose this 1-0. 😏

Agreed. I do love these 5.30pm kick offs.

Ditto here. More time to have a few drinks and second half certainly will be under lights. Will be a cracking atmosphere and I can't wait. I don't think Chelsea fans or players fully understand what awaits.

1730 Saturday kick offs are the gig. Hope the roof is secure because it will come off after a later Wissa winner. 3-2 home win. 2 red cards. VAR controversy. Carnage everywhere. Tuchel a touch dismissive of us from what I’ve read. Thomas enjoys the after party fun.

From his interviews I think Tuchel could describe the best BJ he ever received and still manage to sound a touch dismissive.

There’s no doubt the atmosphere at Lionel Road has been cracking and not saying we don’t have a huge part to play but let’s not get carried away here. Chelsea have played in some of the most intimidating atmospheres in Europe (the likes of Galatasaray or Fenerbahce) and huge stadiums such as the camp nou and bernabeu I don’t think they’re going to turn up and be overawed or intimidated.
