11 home wins out of 14 by a single goal. . It will be tight and a horrible afternoon!

I reckon that some of those missed chances we have experienced this season will turn into golden goals on Saturday

Doncaster will feel the same way we do with their away form, that they have every chance of promotion too. We will be more nervous.
I sense 1-1 but prey we get a late goal to win it.

I'm not a WUM i honestley believe Brentford will note cope with pressure of the occasion,In the last ten years as a club we have won the conference play off final, the JPT final & the league one play off final at Wembley,In one off games we don't tend to 'bottle it',our defeat on Saturday against Notts County was a slip up but it was just a league game,County came for the draw went one up then sat back,we must have had 75% posession second half,You need to win attack us by all means & the likes of Coppinger,Cotterill,Hume & Bennett will hit you on the break,It will be nervy for both sets of fans but i can't see anything else but a Doncaster win.

5 days to go and I'm already nervous as f**k.. Heart racing n all sorts.. I'm gonna be a wreck come kick off!!
The more I think about it the less confident I'm becoming.
I now have a nasty feeling we will bugger it up:

We will get the goal we need.. Try to get a second, but fail. As the game nears its end we begin to sit back.. Donny come at us.. And in the dying minutes, one of our many young players, due to sheer nerves, makes a horrendous unforced error, gifting Donny the equaliser and thus promotion.

For that not to happen we need a 2 goal cushion.. Please Donaldson do what you do best!!!

What and you think that we dont have players that match up to ones uv mentioned in your comment?? Forrester, saunders, wright-phillips, dallas, donaldson, trotta. Its tight yes but best home record vs best away record and a sell out crowd in a very tight ground and very vocal crowd next saturday i imagine!!! Chelsea didnt like hence drawing 2-2 and by our record not many other teams like it either!!!!!! :bound: :bound::bound:

Funnily enough that just gives me more confidence. These things go in cycles. You are due a one off big game disappointment, we are due a success. Frankly, none of us really have a clue what will happen but it's the good old law of averages that I will cling to desperately for hope and comfort, like a drunk with a whiskey bottle, for the next few days.

True, you are probably going to turn up and win. Can't see anything over than a Donny win. You could probably rest a few players I reckon? We have little chance and therefore no pressure on us at all, we win - great! We lose - it's what was expected. All the pressure is on you guys to make sure you get the job done against the minnows from west London in their mini 'cup final'.

If I were you I would register for a Leeds membership for next season now so you can get a ticket in home end when you sell out your allocation, going to be tough to get one after Saturday!

We were unlucky not to beat the former champions of Europe with the likes of Terry, Torres, Oscar et al at a packed rocking GP. What makes you think that Donnie hold any fears for us- despite your excellent away record. Hardly froze infront of 23,000 at Sheff Utd when all the odds were against us. Appreciate your partizan bravado but the facts don't support your argument. If we play to our potential we will win I believe.

It's good to see that both sets of fans are positive. However as we all know anything can happen (crap ref, like at the Blades, goalkeeping error or stupid own goal). Personally expect a very tight, tense game with very little in it. Lap of the gods for both of us, but an exciting end to the season for sets of fans.

After watching the Bees yesterday, there wasn't much of that 'never give up attitude' on show. You struggled to break down a team that we hammered at the keepmoat a few weeks ago. If we turn up then we will beat you. If we don't, I feel we could lose by 3 or 4 goals. Don't forget we have the best away form England let alone league one...

It wasnt our best performance against a side who were playing for pride and on paper one of our bogey sides. Remember we were without Clayton Donaldson who does make a big difference and Tony Craig who will also be out on Saturday. We can both big up our opinions but I still believe that home advantage is the most important factor in this clash and our grounds atmosphere will not be for the faint hearted on Saturday. Quietly confident for Saturday and goodluck in the play-offs although I think Yeovil will be the dark Horses.

Seems a bit weird to me that P.Hayes probably the highest paid player at Brentford will not be around on Saturday for what is our biggest game for years, even if not in
the team surely he would want to be part of the day, after all he still has 2 years to run on his contract, or has Uwe decided thats it?

It would be a lovely way for the season to end. One club stalwart, will play anywhere for the team & last two season's wrecked by injury.
Hopefully it will be a great day for all us loyal 5,000 or so who have seen many a lean year.
Still cannot dismiss the many days we have let it slip , the list is long now & Reading still fresh in the mind unfortunately.

Will not predict the score therefore, none of us know !!

I am still concerned with KOC playing centre back. I also have a fear that history will repeat itself and Paynter will come off bench and do a Cureton.

I find strange also but suspect Uwe decided that Paul cant force his way into team or squad at this late stage so rather keeps hgetting match time and then he is back with us for play offs if necessary. To be frank I would rather he was on bench than Farid at that stage as Farid will be far too ring rusty to offer us anything much whereas Hayes has been putting in some good shifts for Crawley and can offer an alternative option to Clayton, Marcelo or Bradley

Whether you beieve in it or not, you've got to go for a win in this one; I say 2 - 1 to the Bees.

The alternative, is too upsetting to comprehand. If we lose and Shef.Utd and Yeovil win their remaining matches, we would finish 5th and likely meet Yeovil in the Play-Offs, first leg at Griffinn Park. BUT THAT AIN'T GOING TO HAPPEN.

Understand where you're coming from but I didn't think FEA did that badly on Saturday. He gave us a physical presence in the box and the air that we lacked prior to him coming on. He was just feeding off of scraps though. Think he offers us something that Hayes doesn't to be honest so I would maintain the status quo. Assuming BWP and Clayton start Trotta and FEA offer us good options on the bench.

we bottled games before but we are due some success, this is new Brentford ;)
Played you off the park up at your soulless bowl, so that was our slip up and at fortress GP I can't see nothing but a Brentford win. I can't see Doncaster coping with the pressure. Say hello to Martin Allen for us next season ;)

No idea what's going to happen, it's a big, big ask to win promotion from here so might as well go for the dream ending

Bees 3 Doncaster 2
Clayton 91
BWP 94
O'Connor 95

I dont think we can finish 3rd. Yeovil will win last game of season so we are either automatically promoted or finish 4th with Yeovil 3rd. Sheff Utd wont win both their remaining two games now as they have little to play for until Play-Offs

I was at Wembley in 85, Bristol in 93, GP for Reading in 02, the Stoke and Port Vale Cardiff catastrophes and two years ago at Wembley. On a happier note, I was also at Peterborough in 92 and Cambridge in 99.

And I was at GP to see our Aguilero moment two Saturday's ago. As many have said, and I have seen, this is a different Brentford side.

They will come to GP wanting to shut all of us up quickly. We will want to score early to get their heads down.

Bees 2 - Doncaster 0. Up the Bees!

Agree we have to get out of the blocks quickly playing our flowing football and need to be at least two goals up by half time. Worst case scenario is we play all the football and Doncaster score early and hang on ready to hit us on break. With the talent available to us in midfield and forwards of quality of Clayton BWP and Trotta roared on by a packed Griffin Park as long as we enter game with a positive attitude playing high tempo game then the game is their for the taking

I dont believe in fairy tales but would be some story if he came on in last ten minutes on saturday and scores our winner. Certainly Doncaster will know nothing about him as to be frank nor do we at this stage and suspect if he is brought on we will have three up front at least!

I'll go with

Brentford 3-1 Doncaster.

I don't mind who scores, but I think Doncaster will get a goal at least. Hopefully BWP and Clayton can prove why they're a great partnership and make their contribution count for nothing.

I sincerely hope that we don't see Farid in action on Saturday because if we do it will mean that we are chasing the game in the closing stages and running out of ideas.

Yes I agree if we brought him on we are chasing the game but at least lets hope it's because score still level . Personally I would rather we have a match fit Paul Hayes on bench but that's a moot point !

2-1. BWP, 92nd, cue scenes of absolute pandemonium.

All I know is, it will be a turnaround, unexpected.

I think it will be 1-1 and we will rue the Hartlepool draw, we usually concede at least 1 goal which means we have to score 2, just dont
think the makeshift defence will be up to it, dreadfully poor goal conceded at Hartlepool, hope I,m wrong.

I will definitely have a brain aneurysm, a minor heart failure and vomit at least three times before the match ends. And it'll be ****ing glorious when we eventually win.

I am convinced that we will win, just feel this is our time. Even if we dont win this game for some reason we will get through the play offs! We are going UP! We do not need to fear anyone..

I feel strangely confident about this game.
I just think this team is mentally strong and won't be phased by the occasion like Brentford have done so many times before.

We were better than them at their place too and never should've thrown away our lead.

I think we're going to win 2-0 and it's going to be a top night out in Brentford!!

Very nervy last 10 minutes.

I think one nil to us is probably the least likely score! Well of course unless we score the goal in injury time! I just dont see us being able to hang on to a one nil lead when under incredible pressure for anything more than a couple of minutes

I feel so nervous reading these predictions. I really hope they come true!

I'm going with a 2-1 win.

An early Clayton Donaldson strike puts us ahead within 10 minutes. The stands are jubilant but then heartbroken as a 44th minute equalizer deflates the fans.

However, the second half starts shaky for us but we battle on with true heart and passion before King Kev rises for a late corner and heads the ball straight into the top corner. 89 minutes played and the bees fans go potty.

We spend the 4 added minutes that seem like another 45 holding on with dear life before the ref finally blows his whistle.

Cue the madness.

Didn't realise how poor our recent form vs Doncaster is.

Haven't won in 8 vs them, including losing the last 6. In those 8 games, we have only scored once - Douglas earlier this season. Going even further back we have only won 3 of our last 29 games against Donny.

Bloody hell, must be due a win soon then...

Last win was when we put 4 past them first home game of season, Tuesday night under MA? Think it ended 4-3 ?

Well here's hoping this will be the LAST prediction I make this season. I know I've been correct quite a few times this season and
I'd LOVE to get this one correct too! I've had this score in my head for a number of weeks and we've not quite pulled it off (closest being the the 3-2 victory over Pompey) but this time I'm wishing/praying and have everything crossed:

Bees 3 Donny 1

Our scorers: BWP, Trotta & Donaldson

PMA, Beelieve, Loud & Proud, Come On You Bees, Come ON Brentford & as my late Aunt would say...Up The Bees!

:hat: Win the match on Saturday pretty please New Brentford, banish all previous nightmares and make what we've been dreaming of a REALITY!!!! :hat:

Bookies saying we are far more likely to win than draw/lose! Got a good feeling about Saturday!
