No idea. I suppose it depends on the depth of their squad. I've no idea about that. I'm sure Rogers will want to prioritise their league position though. They have to be favourites .

Going to be a tough one. We're very short at the moment so may well see a few B teamers. If so it will be a pretty convincing win for Leicester I'd have thought, 3-1

7-8. To be honest I’m extremely relaxed about it, as long as it’s not a thrashing I seriously couldn’t care less. Swansea I’m very nervous about tho....

As long as we lose - that's the important thing - save our legs for the next 4 months
More than happy for us to win, providing we use 'B' Teamers in this one, and the next........
Still think that progression will be a good way of keeping players we might need for the run-in competitive, and pushing for a place.........

I always want us to win and from our approach to the Carabao I think even when TF selects a team with a lot of fringe players, as he’s bound to do again on Sunday, he sends them out to win. One such selection beat a full strength Southampton team so why not?

1-0 to us with some more excellent game management, further boosts to the confidence and form of players who aren’t regular starters but who we may need to call on through this next punishing cycle of league games, a winnable 5th round tie and another layer of varnish on our perception by opponents of being a team that gives little away.

I would never ever want Brentford regardless of the circumstances to lose. What the league cup run has shown is that it gives other players valuable playing minutes. I want us to win and progress.

Even with our strongest possible team we would be hard pushed to win this. So with certainly four first choice players missing and probably anything up to eight, then for me a lost cause. Hope we give a good account of ourselves and avoid a hiding then that will be ok with me. Something like 3-0 to Leicester.

Depends on what teams both sides put out but suspect we'll find this tricky - lose 0-1 in a game of few chances.

If both play their strongest teams, Leicester as a team with a chance of winning the PL would almost always win. Neither is likely to play such teams. Their fringe team ought also to be better than ours, probably on paper better than our first team, but that’s not how cup games always turn out. As we saw last season against them and this season against a series of PL teams in the Carabao.

2-0 loss
I think we will have a handful of first teamers getting some game time to get them up to match fitness for Swansea

Their second string with a smattering of first teamers better than our second string with a smattering of first teamers so lose 2-0 in a routine victory for Leicester.

More than happy with no more cup games this season.

2-1 Bees. Our 2nd string has been very good so far this season...

Stoke were well and truly in the game for the first 20 odd mins and Gregory missed a sitter at 0-0 so I'd try and exploit their squad rotation for this tie and pepper their box with crosses as it nearly worked for the Potterers.

You'd expect them to win given their quality over 90 mins but an early onslaught with Forss up top may knock them off course and lead to a different game unfolding.

If this plan works we'll win on penalties (undefeated this season), if we sit back and drop ever deeper we'll probably lose 4-0.

Cant see any of last Wednesdays team starting except Ghoddos, which will mean a completely new
back four and that will mean goals conceded - possibly as many as five ! Its all about coming away from
Swansea with at least a point next Wednesday.

Three. Coming away from Swansea with three points. We've got to get out of this mentality of settling for matching teams. That's how playoffs happen. If we're going to be the best, let's not settle for anything less than beating all of the buggers. :sorted:

TV Commentators carefully pre-prepared notes to bare absolutely no relevance to the actual team we field.
Constant mention of how good our defensive record is despite none of our regular back four or keeper even playing.
Ivan Toney to be constantly referred to even though not playing.
0-3 loss, move on.

2-0 Foxes. Hope I'm wrong.
Without wishing to sound like Tony Cottee I fear for us on Sunday.
Leicester look formidable currently.
Last season they picked 7 or 8 regulars & they are likely to go similar.
They have good depth to their squad and if we only go with a couple of regulars then it's an away win banker I'm afraid.
Hope I'm wrong of course

Nothing to fear, we have shown this season how competitive we have been even with our second string side against Premiership opposition. They are a quality side no doubt about it and it will be tough but fear not at all.

What's all this fear bo11ocks. We will be playing them twice at least next season in the same division. Our 'B' team beat Premier league Newcastle a few weeks ago. We have to shake our Division Four mentality. The Royal Oak is long gone. If we play our B team on Sunday Leicester may have a chance 🦊
