Hate to say it but we are a game (or 2) from being dragged into the bottom four. The team need to forget recent games and focus on defeating a Norwich side which believes they are due a win. It could easily be 1-2 but I'm going for 3-0.

It’s difficult isn’t it when you’ve lost three on the trot. You can imagine all sorts of reasons why Norwich might win; is our defence a bit demoralised? Surely Norwich will win sometime,,and moreover they’ll surely remember their favourable results against us last year? But with my rational head on - I hope - I’m going 2-0 to us. We are simply a better team than them.

One could also argue we are a couple of games from being dragged into the top 6 :)

Very big game this. Hard to predict until we know who is fit. That knowledge will probably be achieved at 1400 on Saturday!

Brentford win.

May not be a must win but no mistake this is effin massive. A win is vital imo - everyone has to be up for this all 15011 of us. No good saying on Sunday it was a bit flat! If we all turn up- 2-0 Bees. If we don't- not worth considering.

Wissa’s definitely out until after the international break.

Hopefully our injury list eases a bit with Ajer. Janelt and Mbuemo getting a full game

This is a really bad time to play Norwich... they've only got 2 points! Equally I'm pretty sure we won't want to lose 4 in a row...

Thinking this will be ugly. After Burnley I will under estimate nobody.

2-1

Best time to play them. Their manager sounds resigned to relegation already on MOTD. Said something like “It would be nice to pick up a few more points on our way back down but I’m not too fussed.” Hopefully he’s still in charge on Saturday.

Brentford 4-2 Norwich.
Toney 2, Janelt, Toney again.
Pukki 2 (1 pen).

Whilst not a must win game in terms of the number of games left to be played, I think it's a must win in terms of stopping the the losing streak of three games. I'm sure Norwich will believe that they can get something from it and I fear a draw. Not the end of the world, but a win would be so much better.

Hopefully we'll have our strongest team out. Norwich drew at Burnley a few weeks ago then drew with Brighton. They won't be pushovers.

Norwich don't offer much of a physical threat unless their defenders are up for a corner. They can be quick through the middle though which is their main danger. This is not a season defining game and we are missing key players and I have a nagging feeling that Norwich can't keep turning out poor performances and could do a "Burnley" on us but hope we grind out a 1-0. Pontus (25).

Its not only about the points. The confidence would be at rock bottom if we lost this.
It's a must win game for me because of that.

Gonna be a ping pong affair with chances at both ends...

Or a 0-0 snoozefest...

But I'm going for a 3-1 bees win with Toney getting a brace and Vitaly the final goal.

I think it'll be a tight affair as (bar Chelsea) they've been pretty defensively diligent in the matches I've seen recently (Brighton-h & Burnley-a).

It'll be interesting to see if Farke sticks to a 3-5-2 for this or goes for a more natural back 4 set-up.

Glad we've got Vitaly back for this one as we've badly missed his tactical awareness in that middle third of the pitch.

It may be the only PL game this season we start as odds on favourites...can we handle the pressure?! With a couple of key players back (Mbeumo the most important here), I think we will see a big improvement from Saturday and should do enough to win, 2-0 or 2-1.

Norwich has scored 3 goals in 10 games. I'll give them one this week because our defense looked so bad at Burnley and our goalkeeper is green. 3-1 Bees.

Need something just to stop the losing run although aside from Burnley the others were games we were expected to lose. 1-1 or 2-1 us

3-1 bees. Seen a lot of people saying “must win” and it depends how you interpret it.

If you’re saying must win after losing narrowly to the European Champions and recent former Premier league champions and our first under par game of the season, then that’s ridiculous.

If it’s “ must win” in terms of expected victories then yes, by that definition, this is a “ must win”. Think Ghoddos will start and score again. Norgaard and Canos for the others. Back the boys!!!

First week of November. Not a “must win” in any way, shape or form and people need a dunk in the Thames if they think that way. 28 games to go by my maths.
Come back on here Monday if we lose and see what the reaction is and whether you’re right or not 😉😎

It's not 'must win' as a one-off game, BUT.

Home to nailed on relegation certainties are games we MUST win more often than not over the course of the season. Great displays against Liverpool, Chelsea and Leicester are all morale boosting and well and good, but they are 'free hits' and amassed one point only. Great displays don't keep you up. Points do.

A lot was recently made of the fact we hadn't played any bottom six teams until Burnley. Well, they are the games we have to try to expect to get 3 points from. If we don't, we have to pick those wins up from elsewhere which is obviously much harder!

Indeed….some on here just won’t understand that and probably never will 👍

And although we need a win, it’s not a must win game. We need our players to come back only if they are fully fit. It’s disappointing but not desperate at this time of the season.

The only reaction will be from massive bed wetters. Thomas Frank has proved you wrong on here so many times before so don’t become one. Have faith!

Not true and the stats prove it. The current bottom three over the course of this season will probably go down. What exactly is “MUST WIN more often than not” anyway? To finish mid table last season in the Prem got you just 12 wins.

Any 12 will do of course but 6 of the easiest ought to be against the bottom three. We’ll be wanting at least another three wins from the rest. Norwich are pretty nailed on to be in that bottom three so we do give ourselves a harder task if we don’t beat them at home at what is looking a pretty low ebb for them. But the season is far more exciting and memorable if we get 12 wins without many of them being against the bottom three!

But at the start of the season 17th would have done for most of us and that only needs 9 or 10 wins which we’re a third of the way to with a quarter of the season done. It’d be nice to have overtaken the win tallies of Fulham and WBA by the end of the month but let’s just enjoy the season.
