Jensen pass
Ollies finish
The safety net of the goal at the start of the second half.
Pontus manning up and admitting he made a stupid mistake in the post match interview.
The relief we ended with a loud bang and not the most miserable of whimpers

But most of all it was seeing MB having a kickabout with his kids afterwards. Only a true fan owner would do that, he did exactly what all of us would have wanted to do, to try and delay the inevitable, and soak up every last minute. A billionaire oil barren owner would have been straight off to the boardroom.

MB is a constant champagne moment.

Watkins giving it to their bench after he scored.

Love it.

Yes - what was all that about?
Ball went out near our technical area (aka ‘the dugout’). It bounces up to Thomas. He gets it by one hand and slips it into our bench area (comment: not very sportsmanlike IMHO - but then again we were playing against a team that has Andre Ayew in it (his friends call him the biggest c*nt in the Championship). Connor Roberts loses it and gets Thomas by the throat. Thomas is interested in pursuing this line of physical interaction with Roberts and ‘wants some’. Everyone piles in and drags them apart. They both get booked.

Swansea City (H) Last Ever GP Champagne Moment Thread

Jumping around the living room hugging my daughter at the final whistle, closed my eyes for a second and could almost smell Griffin Park, the under the lights special occasion smell/feeling that we all know and love. Thanks for the memories and a performance that was fitting for the amazing home the old girl has been to us all.

......and before anyone says it - no I am not the Ealing Road Phantom Farter and it wasn't that sort of smell :D

Seeing Andre Ayew getting nothing out of the game and berating his team mates made me smile.

Wanted to say Thomas slap-stick monkey business in technical area, but really, for so many reasons, it has to be the sweetest of left foot strikes by Bryan.

The energy and will to win from the 1st minute. The feeling that we've got our Brentford back.

Thought you weren’t going to watch it ? Glad you did :sorted:
Mate. Of course I watched it. I only wish I had a pound for every time I've walked down the South Ealing Road over the past 48 years and said "never again". If I did, I could afford my own Sky Sports and wouldn't have to nick my mate's Sky Go. I won't watch the final though.

Peter G hugging with the players at the end. Thomas' interview, showing yet again that he is a class apart. Ollie's entire night, including the wonderful shushing of the Swansea bench and his post-match interview where he said he couldn't wait to play at the new stadium. But really, Matthias Jenssen's pass for the first goal was the finest Dom Perignon.

He’s the most highly paid player in the a Championship, I believe. His decision to stay with Swansea for a season to help them back into the Premiership was, er, lucrative but ultimately ill judged.

Got to say, some of the comments on Swansea forums about how much we’ve spent on players make me laugh. They’ve just had seven straight years in the most lucrative division on the planet, and are receiving multi-million pound parachute payments from the Premiership.

The boys went into 5th gear from the 1st minute, gave them nothing.

Loved the Watkins celebration and Rico assist, excellent to finish at GP on such a big occasion

Got to be Peter G hugging all the players at the end, or MB playing footy with his kids at the end. I’d give a stupid amount of money to be able to do that tonight.

The sheer fact we won our last ever game at GP. I was dreading tonight be an anti-climax although confident we would win but you never know.

It was just a fitting way to say goodbye to Brentford with a strong performance. Hasn’t sunk in yet and most probably won’t until we play our first ‘home’ game at LR

On the pitch. The performance of Ollie, his goal and his celebration.

To be fair MB has given a stupid amount of money to be the guy that deserves to do that and PG has given a stupid amount of time to be the other guy to deserve to do the same! If GP has to go out with only two fans in attendance....then those are the two fans that it had to be!

He's given £100M and counting to be able to do that tonight! And if anyone should be allowed to score the last goal in front of ER then I can think of no-one more deserving.

That was a great moment for me, most rich owners wearing the gold and flash suits. Our owner just looking like he has just turned up for a kick about, a top top bloke that would talk to any of us in the street. Also a great moment with Matthew , his Son, and I assume his Wife just celebrating our great club.

Rico's red being rescinded, gave the lads the extra edge to go out and shut them up.

So many champagne moments in that game

So many champagne memories watching the game of all the years - 64 - I’ve been at Griffin Park.

Above all a Brentford team that came out to win and run and run to ensure that on this very last night, they would make everyone connected with the club feel really proud of everything this club represents.

One moment sums it all up of how determined we were to win.

The ball goes out for a Swansea throw in.
It goes straight to Thomas Frank who casually palms the ball behind him, and Roberts (the cause of Rico’s red card) goes absolutely ballistic.
Roberts gets a yellow card for going up to TF.

But with that one moment, TF showed we are all up for this. No matter what, we are going to win this. Look, I’m doing my bit to show Roberts and Swansea what’s what here.
This is Griffin Park. This is Brentford!

TF showed his passion in the post 1st leg interview, and his normal calmness sometimes hides just how much he is as determined a winner as any of our players on the pitch.

The Jensen pass for Ollie's goal - just sublime.

Sam Saunders singalong in the Globe post match.

Seeing the players after the game - they are so up for this, as much as the fans. Barnsley seems a distant memory now.

Going for one last walk around the ground afterwards and seeing the old girl lit up by the floodlights - big nights under the lights at GP were always a bit more special and this was a fitting send off. A few tears when said floodlights were switched off for the last time...

There was a point in the 56th minute and Swansea had a throw in. The ball was aimed into Rhian Brewsters channel where Pontus went with him and just manouvered the teenage striker away from the ball without using his hands and fouling him, but sheer body strength. The ball rolled through to David Raya and play continued.
It all happened so quickly.
The art of defending was right there in that moment.
I am sure Mick Mccarthy would have enjoyed that one.
I certainly did.

Forget the scorpion kick.

My daughter had to work last night so instead of texting her the final score I had "Celebrate" belting out at full volume from the car speakers at Sainsbury's in Hayes when I picked her up. She got the message!

Where to start....

Jensen through ball on his weak foot,
The desire and run from Ollie ( the desire and work rate all night long, TOP TOP performance)
Ollie celebration,
Marcondes header,
Bryan smashing in the third,
Winning the final game at GP and in some style,

best of all, seeing the floodlights on one last time with the old man
