May be on here already but Folan's wonder goal at Peterborough was a little bit mental.

that goal was chaos, ended up falling down the terrace and face down on the concrete, what a 10 minute spell of football.

Evo's goal at Burnley in 1999. :crazy1: :crazy1: :crazy1:

Also, Stephen Evans - who I bumped into today - his goal against Chesterfield at home in 2004. Pity about their subsequent equaliser. :(

Sorry you haven't yet fathomed the difference between HOME and AWAY.

Oh yes that & his Championship winning goal at Peterborough were both celebrated in particularly wild style by the many thousands of travelling Bees.

Yopu have obviously never lived in an away town where the poo you will suffer doesn't warrant too much thought. My lad gets pee take from his his age group for not supporting Man Utd, Chelsea etc etc and had they lost to Cobblers he would have taken more ridicule. It was well celebrated in our area of the ground.:sorted:

Berkshire, Lboro was my uni!
a couple that stand out for me:

  • that Peterborough away game where Folan scored, I remember celebrating wildly when Andy Scott scored with a long-range low header. Anyone else recall?
  • Cambridge away in 1999. A weird feeling because I did not dare celebrate, I could only get tickets in the Cambridge end...
  • Southampton away, Rankin, 2005. A weird feeling because I did not dare celebrate, I could only get tickets in the Southampton end...

Evo's wonder goal at Burnley is the one that always stands out for me. It was towards the end of our mammoth unbeaten run and it truly felt like we'd never lose again.

I'll also throw in a mention for Rowlands' 89th minute strike at Millwall the same season. Shame about what happened afterwards....:(

This thread has been triggered by a comment PJ made on another thread that got me thinking about the wild celebrations when we scored 2 in 2 minutes against sheff weds. What are the occasions when you have gone absolutely nuts at an away game?

Yesterday must rank pretty high up for me. what else can you remember??
Taking the lead v Cardiff at GP at an evening game.
The 30 strong "firm" in the pubs before the game had gone home as there were "no takers"!
I went ballistic and a steward told me to calm down and behave!!!!
The taff firm went up town for a row at 6pm with some Premier Mob but I wanted them to know we have a few patriots. A week later, I got a text from a Swans fan saying a "Bees Fan" was rather irate having scored according to a CCFC fanzine and it was a good job that their posse had left!!! (What for them I thought!!!)
Oh Yeah??? Bring It On!!
It is time we had passport checks at The Severn Bridge!

2 of us booked tickets in Cambridge end by credit card and we politely asked Old Bill if we could swap ends. No probs!

Rochdale at home.

It was 1-1, and all the fans were singing for Rapley, he came on we won 2-1, and alas he scored.

Ron Noades then had a go at the fans in the next home game's program notes, for thinking we know better?! But we did Ron, we did!!!!!
......and, of course, we still do!

The Peterboro Blissett goal ,Blackburn Fa Cup etc.

But one that stands out for me was Nigel Gleghorn's at Fulham in 98......went flying down the terraces with my brother or even 10 years earlier Andy Sintons first of 2 at Reading very memorable.............as i fell down the sodding terracing and broke my ankle

Funnily enough this is 5 years ago today!
Didn't go but was listening on radio. We went 2-1 down and then Clayton got sent off, after the previous unjust Craig farce, and I just said I've got to go out. Took the dogs for a walk, got back and we'd got a 2-2! Then went down the pub!

Think it may have been mentioned on here before, but Holdsworth at Elm Park against Reading.

Sure there is a clip on youtube, but there were limbs everywhere that night.

Farid v Gillingham was brilliant. My mate had a season ticket holder who weren't going near him so watch from the home end. Absolute scenes
Surely can't forget Charlie Mac at MK Dons. Ultimate smash and grab
Particularly liked Sawyers taking the biscuit at Loftus Road last season

I still get goosebumps thinking about it. It was so completely unlikely given the nine-men but so richly deserved. A brilliant moment and slightly ahead of Saturday and the second against Blackburn away in the cup, though both of these were also wonderful. The equaliser against Saints under Allen was good too so far as I could see but I had to keep schtum because I was in the Saints'end!

Sawyers goal for sure. Great finish plus he'd been getting plenty of abuse

Wow, how time flies.

I’m sure we went up on the club coach, for free as the original match got postponed ?
What a great night that was. Can't believe 5 years ago. Was that the night some neanderthal knocked out Andy Lapthorne on his crutches?

Yep, we saw him on the deck but missed it actually happening. Amazingly everyone played dumb and apparently saw f**k all, they’re another lot of scummy fans.
One of the best atmospheres and Bees support in many years, remember hearing Jake Reeves was in for Douglas and thinking we’ve no chance and he turned out to be MOM.
Cracking night
