I guess today must be up there with the best of them. :)
Asked the question in the match day thread, when was the last time we came back from 2 goals down to win? Swansea at home in the 91/92 promotion season?? That would be the best for me. :bound:
Also remember we came back from 0-3 to draw 3-3 with MK Dons at New Year a few year's back.
Any other offers??...........

3-1 down at home to Sheffield Wednesday in 2005 (although we didn't win, it felt like a win!).

MK Dons game (iirc) was the first time we had come from 3 down for over 50 years.

I am sure we were 4-1 down at Doncaster in 82 with 10 men and with just 13 minutes left, Francis Joseph scored a few..

Wanderer Paul and Garybaldbee in the car mentioned the Doncaster 4-4 in 1982/83 when we were 4-1 down.

It's quite a stat that Brentford haven't come back and won a game, from being two goals down, since 1991/92 v Swansea.

The 3-3 v MK and 4-4 v Doncaster were incredible games.

Today's game was incredible too, certainly live in the memory for a while!

Cherries away in the cup 2002 - won on penalties after we were 3-1 down at ht. Ref didn't seem to have any cards and after some crunching tackles their keeper went off injured. Defender went in goal for them so it was a comfortable shoot out win!

It's also only the second time we've scored 5 away in the league since Plymouth away first game of the 94/95 season (the other was hudds last season ) was also he first time we've scored 5 away that wasn't either first or last game since Darlington in 1985 I think !

Looking through a 'long-term' lens, coming back from the heartbreak of the end of 2012/2013 season to get promoted the season after

Gennoe made a great save in last minute to deny us an even better comeback.

The most memorable comeback WOULD have been away at Fulham in the lates 80's - comeback from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 only for late Gordon Davies equaliser followed up with a great save by Stannard from Millen.

Also, I wasn't there but surprised no ones mentioned yet Hull away in 94/95

Memories going a bit, but I seem to recall playing Darlington at home in the mid seventies, 2-0 down after 20 mins and turned it around to win 5-2.

I remember one from about 1987 when Gary Stevens got a couple when we were 2 down to Darlington and came back and won

They had that lightning quick bloke John Williams who I thought at the time was destined for bigger things
Remember it well. It was one of those games that made winning the league so special as every twist and turn added the points to the momentous rise to division 2. I am sure it was Bliss who scored the winner and then he may have missed the worst open goal ever to make it 4.2 as he turned a cross over from under the bar....but maybe not.

Smeulders saved a penalty from I think Howard Gayle.

If memory serves it was 81 and 83. Brilliant celebration and made the long trip home a lot more bearable!

the club posted about this on facebook two weeks ago, with the Barcelona match, mentioning MK Dons and that Sheff Wed away game under Martin Allen (which maybe i missed someone mentioning here - although thanks to the reminder about the 3-3 home game vs Sheff Wed too :sorted: )

i was at both those games against the Owls, and two of my best mates from university are Wednesday fans, so they were both extra sweet for me. that away game was brilliant - one down from a penalty and red card in the first 15 mins, away end utterly dejected, and then two goals in two mins, the second when Alex Rhodes was having that heartbreakingly short purple patch and scorched away from them on the counter-attack from a Sheff Wed corner, feeding Burton, who nearly ****ed it up but it went in and we went potty :D

yes evans scored long range ones against Cambridge and burnley or preston and burnley within a couple of weeks of each other. a geek can clarify which one.

my fat mate Kieran and I travelled down from Manchester got a punch in the face at the Peterborough game it was odd. we had travelled down together and he was an Ipswich fan and someone took offence to that. details hazy but messy day! I had that goal on my phone for many years
