Yes, but the thread is biggest disappointment. To me, that's one where you think on signing "this guy is going to be the business for us" but wasn't. Hence the small list I put forward.

That's the one.
The other biggest disappointment for me was when we signed a young talented
forward (I think) and he broke his leg in pre season training.
Can't remember the fells's name but he was supposed to be mustard.

Out of all of these players listed on this thread there is only a handful that I was truly disappointed with. MOst of the others came with no expectation or never heard of before. The only ones that go against this are the ones that cost a few bob. Even Joseph Ball Allon scored 28 goals in in 56 appearances, not to shabby. Even Eddie May scored a good few goals from midfield but the GP crowd clearly wanted more from the record signing's £167,000 transfer fee and made his life at GP hell and I'll never forget the hatred thrown his way as he exited the ground one home game. A lot of the players mentioned were never destined for greater things and were scraping the barrel in trying times, i.e. under Webb.

Andy Scott didn't rate him and sent him back. Spurs were furious at the time, but it was the right call as he dropped out of full-time football pretty soon after.

could not face the commute from Brighton where he was running a hotel.
Betinho, Proschwitz, Hofmann, KK (only thing good was the goal vs Brighton), Gogia, Nielsen, Bjelland, Wright, Bignall, Tudor-Jones, McCarthy (look how highly rated he is now, but rubbish for us). Can't think of any more at the moment, but that is a starter.

I used to enjoy the bloke that did his prediction of the coming game that always had Betinho behind the scenes doing all the odd jobs.

He’s right. Detsi was exceptional for the last few games of 91/2 and helped get us over the line but he was awful when we signed him as part of the Holdsworth deal.
Sloppy, lazy, disinterested and totally lacking in self discipline we got shot of him as quickly as we could.

Paul Davis but Javi Venta gets a mention just for being hyped up as the biggest signing Brentford had ever made. Was so excited then when I read we had signed a 37 year old full back just felt embarrsed that he had been presented in this way.

Bit harsh in my book as he had a great scoring record for us.

Shipperley, Davis and Sansom in no particular order but maybe Ships just gets it as we raised money from supporters to get him to save our season. When he rolled out for that first home game couldn't believe we had signed what looked like an overweight Sunday league player.
