I heard today that, very sadly, Bob Hambledon died very recently, and his funeral was today.
Bob was, at one time, a large figure at Griiffin Park, in more ways than one. I believe he helped out behind the scenes. He also played a part in the early days of Brentford Athletic FC., and a few GPGers will have shared a beer or three with him ,over the years.
Bob knew his football, and loved BFC. He was very witty and amiable, too.
Condolences to all his friends and family.
RIP, Bob. It was nice knowing you, and you will be much missed...

Is this the 'Bob' that also helped out with the away travel?

Bob will be missed by all true Brentford people he was larger than life till the end - discussing Brentford and the chances against Everton so lets get behind the team on the Everton game even more and remember all of the "Family" we are loosing by cheering them on.
