Is it me or do they seem completely oblivious to the chaos of yesterday as it all seems to be future tense?

Probablly not a realistic option but couldn't they just void all bookings, create a new link and then do the whole thing properly?

The Club has Tweeted: We are trying to add more places...
Great for people who are able to look at their phones/social media outlets 24/7. Not good for people like me who don't use twitter! :mad2:

What would have been nice was the club allowing ST holders who are Key Workers first dibs (Would have to provide evidence when booking/arriving for tour).

Asking for ticket to be printed. Whats that all about. I will have email, season ticket etc on me. Surely they should print and send out.

you don't need to print it. just show the email on your phone. why should they print and send out and waste paper/money that ultimately would cost BFC.

That should be fine, as I said I use Eventbrite for the boat trips and you can show it on your phone. They just haven't edited the default text.

Agree 100% that was my point
cool. they don't ask you to print it out. they say print it out to speed things up. quicker than people ****ing about on their phones. I wont be printing out but will have it ready on my phone.

All the events I've been to during the pandemic have operated a similar system. You need to take evidence of entitlement, like membership card, when you arrive for your slot. Many, though, have a QR code on the ticket, which can be scanned from your 'phone without needing physically to print it. It may be worth checking if Eventbrite and BFC have enabled this.

I would imagine if enabling it is the right thing to do its not being enabled. Anyone get their play off money back from ticket zone yet?! :fishing:

There is a QR code on the attachment you receive when you book

Complaint Sent - Fat lot of good it will do

Mistakes happen but if I was Jon Varney I'd be embarrassed by this and would want to sort it out.

BFC's message about this opportunity received at 20.21 yesterday , went onto Eventbrites's website to find all dates sold out. Must be my fault for having a surname starting with a V.

No email received here either, just as off pitch things were getting better, another p.p. effort, maybe just rushed it to get it out, who knows.

Funnily enough I'm not actually fussed about this now it's been offered. I was out late yesterday so only saw the email this morning which was obviously too late.

I'm more excited by the new ground than leaving GP. I have to say though, for those that have lost loved ones and close friends I totally get the desire to have a look around the old girl one last time.

Clearly not the intention of this thread but same for me. I've spent enough time in GP, from empty (painting railings) to quite full, and prefer to remember good times and look forward to more good times in the new stadium.

I wish everyone would stop with the criticism of the club. These are difficult times as we all know.
I'm happy with my memories.

With respect, you don't know

a) whether or not I have missed out

b) whether or not I am interested in going.

I might have just been trying to offer a way out for them

I'm happy with my memories of working with Paul Stedman and Luke Kirton to ensure that there was a football club at Griffin Park when Ron Noades was going to try and move us to Woking. So asking why the Club have managed to miss out long term supporters is hardly a criticism, simply a request for information.

I have to say, I find all of this bickering and criticism very comforting. It wouldn’t be a proper send-off without it.

I’ve just listed 2 tickets on eBay for £250.

Good luck to anyone who wants to bid who wasn’t able to get them first time round.

Just tried to book a slot but all sold out?
How come ?
Probably because you are an away fan! You apparently use the Brook Rd stand at GP!
hatfieldbee you need to get your facts straight & do your homework before making comments on this site.
As season ticket holder I have been watching Brentford Home & Away for over 40 years
I see you've now updated your profile!

If the stewards on the door are going to ask for your ST, as ID, before being allowed in, what if you’ve chucked it already?

Surely you would at least remember it. But nowhere on the form did it ask for your Season Ticket Number , which was a surprise to me

Real shame that what started out as a wonderful gesture by the club has ended up with them getting a whole load of grief.

Old Malden, actually......
Some of the criticism being levelled at the club here is over the top. Cut them some slack. Moving from one stadium to another is a major logistical exercise at the best of times., Doing so during a compressed six week close season in the middle of a global pandemic is completely unprecedented. The club and its probably extremely stretched staff is doing its best to respond to the entirely understandable need for some supporters to have an opportunity to say goodbye to GP but organising events of any kind right now is vastly more complicated and time consuming than in normal circumstances due to constantly shifting guidance, social distancing requirements, staff working from home, the (quite proper) need for multiple risk assessments and signs offs and no doubt a plethora of other reasons. I can vouch directly for that in my own work context.

No, it isn't ideal, but right now everything tends to be a bit last minute, a bit muddled and a bit makeshift. Its the nature of the circumstances we find ourselves in and the club deserves praise for doing what it can, not criticism because its not as slick as it might be in normal times.

I agree. It's trying to plan against a constantly moving background in terms of government advice.

Saying that I do feel for those that are still uncertain that they will not be able to visit. My intuition is that some fans have hoarded tickets and that there will be some becoming available both from "returns" and new dates/times
